Plastics Product Design Engineer

Job description

Key Responsibilities: - Plastic Product Design and develop, Mold design/Knowledge. - Concept generations for NPD Projects. - Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and specifications - Perform tolerance analysis, DFMEA, and design reviews - Experience of DFM & DFA for the parts developed. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, testing, and quality - Conduct feasibility studies and propose design improvements - Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards - Support prototype build, testing, and validation activities - Troubleshoot engineering issues and provide effective solutions **Required Skills:** - Should have worked on Concept and Detail design having knowledge of Plastic/ Sheet metal parts - Should have good knowledge of Consumer Products/Automotive / Medical products - DFMEA skills - Well versed with Tolerance Analysis - Good knowledge of GD & T. - Closely work with Lead Engineer, developing the System requirements into proven functions with the right quality with in minimum time and with cost-effective solutions. - Known for quality excellence and as per design standard - Ability to assemble parts to ensure the finished product is in processes right product **Desired Skills:** - CAD tool: Unigraphics NX and Creo - Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS) - PLM software: Wind-chill - Experience/Knowledge on Mould/Tool design will be an added advantage - Education Qualification: B.E/ BTech (Mechanical) - Experience: 6+ years
