In this role, you will contribute to fire alarm engineering work that supports safe, code-compliant project delivery. You will work on fire alarm system design assignments across the project lifecycle, turning tender inputs and engineering requirements into clear, accurate, and buildable deliverables. Position Summary This position is responsible for leading a team of Presales function in India. The person should collaborate with the internal teams, Sales, SME & Design Team Manager. Develop and mentor the team to build required competencies in the areas of Fire Detection. Provide specialist support and knowledge to team in the execution of day-to-day activities, cost, and quality and customer service. Responsibilities 1. Provide technical leadership in Fire Detection & Alarm systems, ensuring high-quality design, engineering, and estimation deliverables. 2. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers through coaching, competency development, performance management, and succession planning. 3. Drive integrated design and estimation processes to deliver accurate costing, optimized solutions, and customer-focused outcomes. 4. Own POD performance by achieving KPIs related to quality, productivity, delivery, utilization, and customer satisfaction. 5. Ensure compliance with applicable fire detection codes, regional standards, customer specifications, and organizational procedures. 6. Manage resource planning, workload distribution, and capacity utilization to optimize productivity, mitigate risks, and meet project commitments. 7. Standardize engineering, design, and estimation processes across regions to improve consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence. 8. Lead quality assurance initiatives, including QA/QC compliance, RCA execution, corrective actions, and continuous process improvement. 9. Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and as per technical requirements. 10. Monitor project and team performance, ensure accurate reporting and timesheet compliance, manage team conflicts, and support employee engagement and organizational initiatives. Education & Experience · BE/ B. Tech (preferably Electrical/ Mechanical) with 10+ years of Design experience of which at least 2 - 3 years should be experience in leading a team. · Strong expertise in NFPA Standards & Building codes / British / Indian Standards · Experience in the fire and security industry is required. · Good oral, written and presentation skills · Customer focus and service oriented. · Excellent interpersonal skills and able to develop strong working relationships inside and outside the enterprise. · Excellent people skills, persuasive, and assertive character.
