Job Description - -------------- Join Functions Technology as a Portfolio Management within Functions Digital Channels (FDC), supporting the delivery of colleague-facing digital platforms, automation and workflow capabilities across Barclays. Functions Digital Channels enables simplified, secure and intuitive digital experiences for colleagues, including Digital Colleague Workplace, Business Process Automation CoE, Unified Engagement Layer / Frameworks, Colleague journeys and enterprise workflow solutions. In this role, you will provide planning, governance, financial tracking, reporting and delivery oversight across the FDC portfolio, helping ensure work is prioritised, controlled and aligned to strategic outcomes. You will work closely with delivery leads, product owners, technology teams, project management office (PMO), Finance, Business Management, Risk and Control partners and senior stakeholders to provide clear visibility of progress, risks, issues, dependencies, resources and financials. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-visibility portfolio focused on colleague digital transformation, AI-first experiences, automation, control strengthening and operational efficiency. **To be successful as a Portfolio Management, you should have experience in:** * Coordinating portfolio governance across technology projects, including Change Governance Forums, Portfolio Governance Boards, agendas, meeting packs, minutes, actions, decisions and approvals. * Tracking portfolio and project health including RAGs, financials, including forecasts, actuals, purchase orders, accruals, resource costs, variance commentary and monthly reporting cycles. * Managing RAID information and supporting timely escalation, mitigation and path-to-green planning where delivery risk emerges. * Ensure portfolio data quality across tools and reports, including Navigator, JIRA, Confluence and management information packs. * Building trusted relationships with delivery, product, finance, risk, control and business stakeholders to drive transparency, accountability and effective decision making. **Other Highly Valued Skills Include** * Strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail. * Clear verbal and written communication skills with ability to turn complex delivery information into concise, decision-ready updates for senior stakeholders. * Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to analyse numbers and create senior management ready slide decks. * Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams spanning across Functions Technology, PMO, Finance, Business Management, Risk and Control. * A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on standardisation, automation, data quality and colleague outcomes. The location of the role is Pune, IN. **Purpose of the role ** To support the portfolio management team in the delivery of successful projects, while ensuring that portfolio management processes and practices are aligned with controls and governance standards and that projects are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. **Accountabilities** * Facilitate portfolio prioritisation, ensuring the portfolio is compliant with the established control framework, including oversight of controls and standards. * Support the effective governance of the portfolio, helping establish and operate effective Portfolio Governance that enables quality, data driven decision making, ensuring executive reporting is fit for purpose and timely. * Monitor portfolio performance, including tracking of programme and project progress, identification of thematic portfolio risks and issues, and reporting on portfolio status to senior management and key stakeholders. * Facilitate the management of the portfolio Book of Work, prioritisation and dependencies of change initiatives, considering factors like resource availability, stakeholder buy-in, and potential risks. * Oversight of change delivery to ensure alignment with relevant policies and standards, driving consistent, robust controls data; monitoring indicators of control adherence, acting to remediate any weaknesses in the controls; and identifying and implementing actions to drive greater maturity against key control indicators. * Review, resolve, manage and escalate portfolio risks and issues, challenging where appropriate and actively supporting the resolution of variances as necessary. * Engage and influence all stakeholders to help them to understand their responsibilities and fulfil them effectively through clear, timely communication and well facilitated portfolio management processes. * Support an environment of effective delivery by empowering portfolio management resources, utilising data led thinking to inform decisions, leverage expertise, and drive accountability and transparency. * Operate as a source of best practice guidance and expertise, to ensure consistent excellence around controls, and governance (including training) is embedded across the portfolio. **Assistant Vice President Expectations** * To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
