The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing data migration and ETL solutions, ensuring secure, accurate, and high-performance migration of enterprise data to AWS cloud databases while maintaining data integrity and business continuity. - **Role: PostgreSQL Architect** - **Location: Bengaluru** - **Experience: 7 to 12 Years** - **Job Type: Full-Time Employment** **What You'll Do:** - You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and executing data migration strategies and ETL pipelines for cloud transformation initiatives. - Design, develop, and maintain Python-based data processing and ETL pipelines. - Execute database migration projects from legacy and on-premises systems to AWS RDS/Aurora environments. - Perform schema transformation, data mapping, data cleansing, and migration planning activities. - Ensure data validation, reconciliation, and zero-data-loss migration through automated quality checks. - Optimize PostgreSQL database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and constraint management. - Collaborate with application development teams, including .NET teams, to support migration and modernization programs. - Develop automation frameworks and utilities to streamline migration activities and reduce manual effort. - Troubleshoot migration issues and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance. - Support cloud-native database deployment and data integration best practices. **Expertise You'll Bring:** - We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong database, migration, and cloud experience, capable of delivering large-scale data modernization projects. - 7?12 years of overall experience in database development, data migration, or ETL engineering. - Strong hands-on experience with Python scripting for data processing, automation, and ETL workflows. - Extensive experience working with PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, optimization, and performance tuning. - Proven experience delivering at least one large-scale data migration or cloud migration project. - Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, Aurora, and cloud-based database platforms. - Strong SQL skills with expertise in query optimization, indexing, constraints, and database troubleshooting. - Experience in data validation, reconciliation processes, and migration quality assurance. - Knowledge of data modelling and database design principles. - Experience building automation scripts and migration utilities. - Exposure to AI-powered developer tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or other GenAI-assisted development platforms. - Experience working with backend application teams, preferably within .NET environments. - Good understanding of S3, batch processing, incremental data loads, and cloud data pipelines. - Exposure to legacy databases such as Oracle, 4D, or similar platforms is an added advantage. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Bachelor?s or master?s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. **Benefits:** - Competitive salary and benefits package - Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies - Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards - Annual health check-ups - Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents **Values-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:** Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
