Within BFSI practice, the Insurance IT program covers life & annuities (L&A), property & casualty (P&C) insurance, and reinsurance markets, with a focus on digital transformation, core modernization, and emerging technologies. From our published reports to custom decision support, our team supports clients though its fact-based data and insights to analyze and assess market trends and topical issues, provider capabilities, and solution characteristics. This is an exciting industry segment, and the Practice Director will be expected to lead analysis of IT services and technology market trends in the Insurance industry. The Practice Director is expected to shape and drive the research program by delivering high quality, original research reports, and custom advisory projects for global clients including insurers, service providers, and technology vendors. This will require the candidate to maintain an ongoing dialog with senior industry executives on key issues, as well as help answer their queries. The candidate will be required to lead custom research engagements on broader IT services themes that help our clients grow and compete better. **Key responsibilities** • Drive the Insurance IT research agenda aligned to market trends and client priorities • Develop differentiated thought leadership and publish high-impact research reports • Lead large, complex advisory and custom research engagements for global clients • Engage CXOs and senior stakeholders to deliver actionable, data-driven insights • Build strong relationships across insurers, insurtechs, and IT service providers • Drive business development including proposals, client pitches, and revenue growth • Represent Everest Group in industry forums, client briefings, and market interactions • Mentor and lead team members to ensure high-quality research and delivery • Collaborate across practices to deliver integrated BFSI and cross-domain insights • Manage multiple priorities while ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes **Skills & activities** • Strong understanding of insurance industry and technology imperatives • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to generate actionable insights • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including CXO-level presentations • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and lead advisory engagements • Strong business development and client relationship management capabilities • Good understanding of digital technologies (AI, cloud, data) and their business impact • Effective project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities • Leadership capability with experience mentoring and developing teams • High intellectual curiosity, business judgment, and comfort working in ambiguous environments • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) **Education & experience** • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred (Tier-1/reputed institute) • 5–9 years of experience in research, consulting, IT services, or advisory roles • Strong experience in IT services/digital transformation, preferably in insurance domain • Proven track record of leading client engagements and managing senior stakeholders • Experience in thought leadership, research, or client-facing insights preferred • Exposure to business development and revenue growth initiatives • Experience mentoring teams and managing workstreams • Strong academic and professional track record Everest Group complies with the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other data protection regulations.
