Job description: **Role:** Principal Architect – Browser Engine (Chromium) **Experience Range:** 16 Yrs. to 25 Yrs. **Work Location:** Bengaluru, India **Role Overview** **Principal Architect** with deep expertise in **Chromium browser engine architecture** to lead the design, optimization, and evolution of Chromium-based solutions for TV or embedded devices. The role is responsible for end-to-end architectural transformation into a lightweight, modular, and high-performance platform with measurable KPIs across memory and performance. **Key Responsibilities** - Own overall Chromium architecture for TV/embedded platforms. - Drive optimization for memory footprint, CPU/GPU utilization, startup time, and runtime stability. - Lead architecture of media and graphics pipelines. - Drive modular design and restructuring for maintainability and scalability. - Lead architectural reviews, performance analysis, and roadmap execution. - Support customer-facing discussions and architectural reviews. **Required Skills & Experience** - 16+ years of experience with browser internals and rendering pipelines. - Strong understanding of media and graphics subsystems. - Expertise in multi-process architecture and rendering pipelines. - Experience in embedded domains and optimization. - Experience in embedded Linux debugging and performance analysis. - Strong C++ proficiency. **Preferred / Good to Have** - Experience with Yocto build system. - Exposure to Chromium fork management or upstream alignment.
