**Job Title** Principal Engineer **Nature of Work:** - You will be contributing as a key member in development & design of the Amadeus Agency & Business Operations applications portfolio - You will be working with globally distributed teams to come up with plans to create new features and evolve platform performance - You will be responsible for architecture and design of product components for our department while contributing largely to our cloud migration program - Model, design and implement Application (batch, daemons) / service (REST, WS). **Participate in creating the technology roadmap** by:  - Designing technical solutions and perform feasibility studies - Evaluating and recommending new tools and processes - Review and enforce practices to optimize and maintain platform stability, performance and compliance **Collaborate across teams** by:  - Lead the local experts’ community in the department level and build a vibrant and motivated community for technology evangelization locally. Share best practices with other colleagues - You should be willing to work on sharable modules for different products - You should be able to self-manage the complex modules **About the ideal candidate**  - **Education & Experience** - University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent - Minimum of 12+ years of experience with hands-on development and exposure to advanced C# concepts, .NET framework and design patterns.     - **Technical Skills** - 12-14 Years experience delivering robust web-based products applications, using - undefined - Some experience in RESTful web service APIs, JSON and OAuth2 - Fluent in Salesforce best practices relating to secure coding, performance and scalability - Experience with Salesforce SF/SFDX CLI. - Understanding of SOQL indexing and query selectivity - Understanding of record sharing, class sharing notation, and managed sharing - Experience with queueable and batch asynchronous techniques - Experience with Custom Metadata Types - Able to lead by example with designs and implementations that leverage dependency injection and single responsibility principle. - Solid understanding of DevOps and cloud-based build and deployment technologies. Azure is preferred, but others will be considered. - Expertise in all areas of Salesforce development. - Experience with Platform Events - Experience with Salesforce packaging, SFDX, AppExchange and the Security Review process - Expertise with Salesforce Classic UX to Lightning UX migration is a plus - Experience with developing enterprise-level applications on the Salesforce platform - Microsoft Technology Stack: C#, .NET Core, MVC are preferred - Javascript Frameworks: Angular, Sencha extJS, Bryntum Scheduler - Source Control: Git - Ideal Business and Process Skills: - Experience with Agile, Kanban, or Scrum. - SAFe experience with certification(s) is a plus - **Azure** (or any Cloud) industry expertise "to facilitate Cloud Migration" to lead cloud migration and post - optimization - Understand Distributed systems - Decoupled applications plugged-in a scalable network - Resiliency, Caching, Queuing, Serializing - Decoupled and distributed database - Deployment, Monitoring and logging best practices and available tools like **SPLUNK, Kibana,** SWB, Jenkins, Airflow etc. - Good understanding of SOLID design principles and help team in designing and provide architectural diagrams for new requests - Able to handle complex use-cases and dependencies - Knowledge on containerization (Docker & Kubernetes) and services like AKS(Azure)/EKS(AWS) - Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture - Mentorship skills and stakeholder management - Hands on experience with DB [at least 2 among embedded (e.g. SQLite), client-server (e.g. oracle), NoSQL distributed (e.g. mongo, couchDB)] - Deep understanding of non-functional requirements (NFR) and/or underlying technologies impacting final solution - Hand-on Experience de-coupling monoliths to micro-service architecture. - **Other Skills** - Natural tendency to work collaboratively, solve problems with groups, find win/win solutions and celebrate success. - Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to stakeholders and / or be able to influence technical decisions - Awareness of latest technology trends and standards in the industry.   **Common accountabilities:** - Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure team performs at a high level.
