**POSITION: Head of Procurement Modular Industry** **Job Location:Irugur, Coimbatore** **Industry Preference : Modular Furniture / Modular Kitchens / Home Interiors (Mandatory)** **Key Responsibilities:** **Strategic Sourcing &; Procurement:** - Lead end-to-end procurement of materials essential for modular production, including Plywood, MDF, Particle Boards, Laminates, Edge-bands, Hardware (Hinges, Channels, Tandem boxes), and relevant interior accessories. - Develop and implement robust sourcing strategies to ensure an uninterrupted material supply chain aligning perfectly with production timelines. **Vendor Management & Negotiation:** - Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable domestic and international vendors and manufacturers. - Lead high-level price negotiations, establish optimal credit terms, and finalize Annual Rate Contracts (ARCs) to maximize cost efficiency without compromising certified quality standards. - Conduct periodic vendor audits and rigorous performance evaluations based on delivery timelines, quality conformity, and cost metrics. **Inventory Control & ; Cost Optimization:** - Partner closely with factory production, design, and planning teams to forecast raw material requirements accurately. - Maintain optimum inventory levels at the factory warehouse to ensure zero production downtime while minimizing holding costs. - Continuously analyze market trends, material price fluctuations, and alternative options to drive strategic cost-reduction initiatives. **Quality Compliance & ; Process Management:** - Ensure all procured materials strictly adhere to the brand&;s premium, certified quality benchmarks. - Streamline and standardize operating procedures (SOPs) for the purchase department, ranging from purchase requisition (PR) generation to final invoice verification. **4. Requirements & ; Qualifications** - Experience: 8 to 15+ years of proven experience in purchasing/procurement, with a significant tenure heading the purchase function strictly within the Modular Furniture or Modular Interior industry. - Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. - Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of raw materials used in modular manufacturing (hardware brands like Blum, Hettich, Hafele, etc., and various board/finish variants). - Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience working with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or specialized Inventory management platforms) and advanced MS Excel. - Core Skills: Exceptional negotiation capabilities, strong contract management, executive communication, and team leadership skills.
