## **Company:** Qualcomm India Private Limited ## **Job Area:** Operations Group, Operations Group > Procurement **General Summary:** Job Description: This role aligns with internal stakeholders to identify their needs and requirements. Identifies potential service and product suppliers who can deliver best value to Qualcomm and satisfy project goals and objectives. Manages the supplier sourcing process for both products and services. Engages, analyzes, and evaluates supplier responses (e.g., RFP) according to category data, market data, should-cost models, and other analytics for accuracy, competitiveness, and completeness. Conducts negotiations with suppliers to ensure lowest total cost of ownership while achieving mutual goals, benefits, and objectives. Manages supplier contracts including reviewing and executing contracts, and ongoing relationship management activities. •    Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. •    4+ years of industry-specific experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or related work experience. Preferred Qualifications: •    Master's degree in Business or related field. •    6+ years of industry-specific experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or related work experience. •    3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization. •    1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). •    1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports). Principal Duties and Responsibilities: •    Identifies internal stakeholder needs and requirements for large or ambiguous projects. •    Identifies and recommends potential service and product suppliers who can deliver value to Qualcomm based on an expert understanding of stakeholder needs, category expertise, and organizational needs. •    Stays abreast of current and future trends to make suggestions in strategic discussions within a category about market and supplier trends (e.g., cost drivers, technology) to conduct cost modeling and negotiations, shares findings with others. •    Proactively executes go-to-market procurement strategies based upon best practices and needs of the business unit and stakeholder consultation. •    Creates and shares detailed procurement supplier selection criteria specifications to obtain products or services that are aligned with stakeholder needs and project goals. •    Analyzes and evaluates sourcing mechanisms, supplier feedback and responses; identifies and mitigates potential risks, selects appropriate suppliers, ensures accuracy, competitiveness, and completeness. •    Acts as the primary contact with suppliers including initiating the relationship, negotiating highly complex commercial and other legal terms, executes the contract to maximize organizational benefits and objectives and overall management of supplier fulfillment. •    Makes decisions on complex issues that impact business results and arise within one's own area of work. •    Collaborates with individuals inside and outside of own function to integrate projects and/or ensure changes work with other components of a specific project. •    Manages team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for small to mid-sized projects. Level of Responsibility: •    Works independently with little supervision. •    Provides some supervision/guidance to other members; does not have direct reports. •    Decisions are moderate in nature. Errors are detected and corrected with relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships. May require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct. •    Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. Role may require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents. •    Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
