Role Description Reporting to the Head of Delivery Enablement, this role leads Finance Engineering's transition to a product-led operating model. It establishes the practical structures, behaviours and engineering practices needed to organise around products, focus on measurable outcomes and improve delivery flow. The Product Delivery Lead works across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations and Business teams to translate strategy into outcome-based roadmaps, remove systemic delivery constraints and enable sustainable ways of working within LSEG's risk and control environment. The emphasis is on hands-on enablement and organisational change rather than project administration. The role requires a credible foundation in engineering or architecture, together with the judgement and influence to support change at team, platform and leadership levels. Key Responsibilities • Product-led Transformation• Define and implement the Finance Engineering product operating model, including product boundaries, ownership, decision rights, planning cadences and governance. • Move teams from project- and output-focused delivery towards persistent product ownership, measurable outcomes and continuous improvement. • Pilot new practices with teams, learn from adoption and scale what works without imposing unnecessary standardisation. • Build internal capability through coaching, practical guidance and communities of practice • Engineering & Architecture Enablement • Partner with Engineering and Architecture leaders to align product roadmaps with technology strategy and platform evolution. • Use engineering insight to identify and remove constraints across architecture, dependencies, environments, release, integration and operations. • Ensure security, resilience, operability, non-functional requirements and technical debt are visible in product planning and prioritisation. • Promote engineering excellence, DevSecOps and sustainable delivery practices where appropriate. • Planning, Prioritisation & Flow• Translate product strategy and business priorities into outcome-based roadmaps and executable plans. • Establish pragmatic prioritisation, capacity, dependency, risk and release planning across products and platforms. • Coach teams on backlog quality, work decomposition, flow and delivery forecasting. • Facilitate cross-team decisions and remove systemic impediments to delivery. • Tooling, Data & Continuous Improvement• Define a coherent Jira and Confluence information model, work hierarchy, workflows and reporting that support traceability without creating bureaucracy. • Establish balanced measures across outcomes, flow, quality, reliability and engineering effectiveness. • Drive adoption of DORA, SPACE and other engineering effectiveness measures. • Use quantitative and qualitative insight to identify bottlenecks, test improvements and demonstrate progress. • Continuously simplify processes and controls while maintaining required evidence and assurance. • • Leadership & Stakeholder Influence• Advise and coach Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Architects, Delivery Leads and senior stakeholders. • Create alignment on roles, accountabilities, priorities and trade-offs across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations and Business. • Lead planning and governance forums that drive decisions rather than status reporting. • Communicate progress, risks and recommendations clearly at team and executive levels. Key Behaviours Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the role that require a continual test of the role holder’s abilities) • Shifting from project- and output-led delivery to persistent product ownership and outcome focus while maintaining business commitments. • Aligning Product, Engineering, Architecture and control functions across complex, interdependent platforms. • Creating sufficient consistency and transparency without imposing a one-size-fits-all process. • Influencing sustained change across teams and leaders without relying on direct authority. Management of Risk • Ensure delivery, technology, operational and transformation risks are visible, owned and actively managed. • Embed architecture, security, resilience, regulatory and control requirements into planning and delivery. • Escalate systemic impediments, unresolved decisions and risk concentrations with clear options and recommendations. • Observation of Internal Controls • Comply with organisational policies, governance standards and control frameworks. • Design delivery practices and tooling that provide proportionate evidence, traceability and clear accountability. Candidate Profile / Key Skills Essential • A foundation in software engineering, solution or enterprise architecture, or comparable technical leadership, combined with experience leading organisational change. • Demonstrable experience implementing a product-led operating model in a complex enterprise, including practical adoption by engineering teams. • Strong understanding of software delivery and architecture, including the SDLC, APIs and integration, data and platform engineering, cloud, SaaS or ERP, non-functional requirements, reliability and technical debt. • Experience shaping product structures, ownership, decision rights, roadmaps, prioritisation, planning and governance. • Ability to diagnose
