**Role Title: Product Development Engineer - BIW Joining** **Tools:**CATIA V5/V6, 3DExperiance, Teamcenter, Visualization Mock-up **Experience:**8-12 yrs **Location:** Pune **Education:**CATIA V5/V6, 3DExperiance, Teamcenter, Visualization Mock-up **Detailed JD:** **Roles and Responsibilities: -** - Lead and support joining process development for BIW components, focusing on Fusion Joining. - Conduct testing and validation of joining techniques to meet quality and performance standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new joining technologies into production. - Provide engineering support for BIW design, structure, and manufacturing requirements. - Analyze process data and generate technical reports and presentations. - Ensure effective communication with stakeholders at all levels. - Drive continuous improvement in joining processes and product quality. - Participate in problem-solving activities and apply structured methodologies. - Contribute to APQP and PSW documentation and process compliance. - Maintain alignment with design robustness and validation standards. Be responsible for communication with all Stake holders e.g. Design team, studio, legal, packaging, legal etc - Ensuring that the all-project deliverables are met. **Essentials: -** - Expertise in automotive Body-in-White (BIW) joining methods, especially Fusion Joining. - Strong knowledge of body construction and BIW design. - Experience in testing, inspection, and qualification of joining processes. - Proven ability in developing and introducing new processes, methods, and technologies. - Proficient in data analysis and PC tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. - Excellent communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels. - Strong interpersonal, influencing, and engagement skills. - Effective team player with a self-motivated attitude. - Logical and methodical approach to component application, verification, and validation. - Understanding stampings and body construction. - Familiarity with CATIA V6 3DX. - Experience with problem-solving tools: Six Sigma, PPS (8D), FMEA, Robustness. - Exposure to WERS, AIMs, RMDV2, APQP, and PSW processes.
