An MBA is preferred but not mandatory. **Location:** India – Hyderabad **Description:** Software Product Managers at Lilly own the vision, strategy, and execution of custom software products that advance our mission to make life better for people around the world. They bridge user needs and technical delivery, working cross-functionally to define what to build and collaborating closely with software engineering and design teams to bring products to life. **Key Responsibilities:** Champion the Vision - Define and Articulate the Product Vision: Clearly articulate the long-term vision of the product, ensuring it aligns with Lilly’s strategic goals and delivers value to users. - Communicate Passionately: Inspire your team by passionately and persuasively communicating the vision and the product's transformative potential. - Focus on Value: Prioritize features and tasks based on their potential impact on customer satisfaction and business value. - Manage the Backlog: Keep a well-organized and prioritized backlog that aligns with the product strategy and team capacity. Understand Your Users - Deep User Insights: Continuously seek deep, empathetic understanding of the target users' needs, behaviours, and pain points through direct interaction and data analysis. - User-Centric Design: Ensure the product design and features solve real problems and effectively improve users’ lives or workflows. Quality and Compliance - Maintain High Standards: Ensure the product meets high-quality standards and fulfils all regulatory and compliance requirements. - Anticipate Changes: Stay ahead of potential regulatory changes that could impact how your product is developed or deployed. Sustain Scalability - Scalable Solutions: Plan and develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient solutions as the user base grow. - Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation to balance short-term achievements with long-term growth. Cultivate a Growth Mindset - Iterative Development: Promote an iterative development process that accommodates changes based on feedback and emerging requirements. - Flexibility: Be prepared to pivot and adapt strategies as new learnings and technologies evolve. - Stay Informed: Keep abreast of the latest developments in your industry to continually refine and improve the product. - Validate Early and Often: Use prototypes and MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) to validate ideas and concepts early in the development cycle to avoid costly mistakes and ensure market fit. **Essential Tech knowledge:** - APIs and Integrations: Basic understanding of how APIs work to enable product integrations and interactions. - DevOps Concepts: Awareness of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Code Logic and Structure: Not necessarily writing code, but the ability to understand how code is structured for communication with developers. - Agile Documentation: Crafting detailed and clear user stories with acceptance criteria understandable by developers. - Quality Assurance: Awareness of QA processes to align product requirements with quality checks. - Wireframing and Prototyping Tools: Familiarity with Figma, Balsamiq, or Adobe XD to review or create wireframes and mockups. - Analytics and Tracking Tools: Knowledge of Google Analytics, Firebase Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar tools to track product metrics. - Project Management Tools: Experience with tools like Jira, Trello, DevOps for managing backlogs and user stories. - Generative AI Expertise: Familiarity with emerging GenAI concepts and frameworks (e.g. LangChain, RAG, MCP, A2A, Agentic memory), chatbots and agent-based systems enabling innovative solutions and strategic product enhancements. - Agent Evaluation: Experience in evaluation criteria and acceptance thresholds for AI agents, ensuring deployments meet quality, safety, and business performance standards before production releases. - AI Tools: Working
