Production Engineer

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** Machine Shop Operations - Handle CNC Turning Centres, VMC, HMC, SPMs, and other machining equipment. - Monitor machining parameters and ensure process compliance. - Improve productivity, cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). - Support new product and process implementation activities. Manpower Management - Manage operators and shift activities effectively. - Ensure proper manpower deployment and skill development. - Conduct operator training on safety, quality, and process requirements. Continuous Improvement - Drive Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Cost Reduction initiatives. - Identify opportunities for productivity improvement and waste elimination. - Participate in OEE improvement and downtime reduction projects. Candidate Profile Education - Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. Experience - **4 to 8 years** of experience in Machine Shop Production. - Experience in automotive or auto-component manufacturing is preferred. Technical Skills - Knowledge of CNC/VMC/HMC machining operations. - Understanding of production planning and process improvement techniques. - Familiarity with OEE, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S. - Ability to read engineering drawings and process documentation. - Knowledge of quality requirements in machine shop operations. Desired Competencies - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication and coordination skills. - Result-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
