**Production Support / Application Support Engineer .NET** Experience **5 to 9 Years** Location **Hyderabad (Hybrid / Onsite)** Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Production Support / Application Support professional** with strong hands-on experience in **.NET applications, SQL Server, and ITIL-based support processes**. The role involves providing L2/L3 production support, incident and problem management, root cause analysis, and ensuring high availability and performance of business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities Production Support & Operations - Provide **L2/L3 production support** for enterprise .NET-based applications. - Monitor production systems to ensure **high availability, performance, and reliability**. - Handle **incident, problem, change, and service request management** aligned with **ITIL processes**. - Participate in **24x7 support rotations** and on-call support as required. - Perform **root cause analysis (RCA)** and implement permanent fixes. - Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams during major incidents. Application & Technical Support - Troubleshoot application issues related to **.NET, C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs, IIS**, and supporting services. - Analyze **SQL Server** queries, stored procedures, indexes, and execution plans for performance issues. - Perform **data fixes**, data validation, and ad-hoc SQL analysis in production environments with proper approvals. - Support application deployments, hotfixes, and patches. - Review logs, application metrics, and monitoring alerts to proactively identify issues. ITIL & Process Adherence - Follow ITIL practices for **Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management**. - Prepare incident reports, RCA documents, and post-incident reviews. - Ensure compliance with **SLA, SLO, and KPI targets**. - Maintain operational documentation and knowledge base articles. Stakeholder Communication - Communicate clearly with business users, vendors, and internal teams. - Provide timely status updates during incidents and outages. - Mentor junior engineers (for senior roles). Technical Skills Mandatory Skills - **Production / Application Support experience** in enterprise environments - **.NET / C# / ASP.NET** application support - **SQL Server** strong SQL querying, performance tuning, debugging - **ITIL framework** (ITIL certification preferred) - Windows Server & IIS support - Incident & problem management tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA, etc.) Good to Have - Knowledge of **Microservices** and Web APIs - Experience with **Azure / AWS** hosted applications - Basic scripting (PowerShell, batch scripts) - CI/CD pipeline awareness - Monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, ELK, etc.)
