Job description

- **Key Responsibilities** - Product Cost Calculations - Bill of Material Calculations & Analysis - Cost Estimation**:** Calculate expenses for raw materials, assembly cycle times, tooling, and secondary operations using engineering drawings - Calculating ECN Impact - Variance & Budget Tracking**:** Monitor project and product cost performance, comparing actual expenditures against baseline budgets - Cost Optimization: Partner with R&D and design teams to apply Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA) principles. Loss Making Area Identification - Price Amendment Tracking - Coordinate cross-functional teams including design, testing, procurement, and manufacturing. - Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers and customer to align on specifications and deliverables. - **Qualifications & Skills** - Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering - Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of manufacturing processes, machining times, material properties, and reading technical blueprints. - Software Tools: Proficiency in advanced Excel, ERP costing modules, and specialized cost-modeling or project tools. - Analytical Mindset: Ability to run cost trade-off scenarios, volume sensitivity analysis, and lifecycle cost assessments. - **Experience**: 6-7 years in costing and cost analysis of engineering products in an automotive industry.
