The Incumbent will be responsible for- **Job Purpose** - Responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of civil and infrastructure projects within the manufacturing plant. The role involves managing construction, utility buildings, internal roads, drainage systems, structural works, contractor management, quality control, safety compliance, and project budgeting to ensure timely project delivery. **Role** **Accountabilities-** **Project Planning & Execution-** 1. Execute greenfield, brownfield, expansion, and infrastructure development projects for manufacturing facilities. 2. Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies. 3. Monitor project progress and ensure completion within approved timelines and budgets. Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders for project implementation. 4. Review engineering drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and construction methodologies. **Civil Construction Management-** 1. Supervise construction activities related to: - Industrial buildings - Production shops - Warehouses - Administrative buildings - Utility blocks - Internal roads - Drainage and sewage systems - Boundary walls and site development 2. Ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and engineering best practices. 3. Conduct site inspections and monitor execution quality. **Contractor & Vendor Management-** 1. Evaluate and select contractors and vendors. 2. Monitor contractor performance against project milestones. 3. Verify bills, work measurements, and certification of completed works. 4. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations. **Quality Assurance-** 1. Ensure all civil works comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. 2. Conduct quality inspections of materials and workmanship. 3. Implement corrective actions for non-conformities. 4. Maintain quality documentation and records. **Safety, Health & Environment-** 1. Ensure safe construction practices at project sites. 2. Implement EHS requirements and statutory regulations. 3. Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks with contractors. 4. Coordinate with EHS teams for compliance during project execution. **Cost Control & Budget Management-** 1. Monitor project costs and control budget overruns. 2. Review estimates, vendor quotations, and BOQs. 3. Track project expenditure and prepare cost reports. 4. Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality. **Coordination & Reporting-** 1. Liaise with Production, Maintenance, Utilities, EHS, SCM, and Finance teams. 2. Provide regular progress updates to management. 3. Prepare project MIS reports, status reports, and completion reports. 4. Maintain project documentation and records. **Skills & Capabilities** **Required-** - Strong knowledge of industrial construction and manufacturing plant infrastructure. - Expertise in RCC, structural steel, foundations, Industrial flooring, roads, and drainage systems. - Knowledge of project management techniques and construction methodologies. - Familiarity with statutory approvals and industrial building regulations. - Strong contractor management and stakeholder coordination skills. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera (preferred), and MS Office. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Good communication and leadership skills.
