**Role & responsibilities** - Procure Mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM) components from domestic suppliers. - Develop and maintain relationships with domestic vendors to ensure quality material timely. - Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and qualify new suppliers for Electrical/Mechanical components. - Monitor inventory levels and work with the inventory management team to optimize stock levels. - Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement. - Collaborate with other departments such as production, quality control, and finance to support seamless operations. - Checking and approving invoices and other documents during import purchase. - Coordinate with the finance team for fund allotment and fund transfer to the supplier as per the production plan. - Checking BL No. & PL and aligning for all import shipments. - Implement strategies to improve procurement processes, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. - Prepare and present supplier performance/Rating report. - Coordinate with sourcing team regarding new developments for smooth operations. - Coordinate with finance team for regular supplier reconciliation. **Preferred candidate profile** - Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. - Proven experience in domestic procurement of mechanical BOM components in a manufacturing environment. - Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supply chain processes. - Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Attention to detail and a focus on quality and cost optimization.
