Basic understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Knowledge of Direct and Indirect Material Procurement processes, Analytical skills, Negotiation skills, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, ERP systems, Fast-paced manufacturing environment adaptability **Position: Purchase Engineer** - **Department:** Supply Chain Management - **Location:** Bengaluru, India - **Experience:** 1-4 Years - **Qualification:** B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline) **Role Overview** We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Purchase Engineer to join our Supply Chain team. The role involves procurement of both Direct and Indirect Materials and Services, supplier coordination, RFQ management, purchase order processing, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for production and operations. The candidate will work closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sales, and Stores teams to support business objectives through efficient sourcing and procurement practices. **Key Responsibilities** **Procurement & Sourcing** - Handle procurement activities for Direct Materials, Indirect Materials, Consumables, Packaging Materials, Services, and CAPEX requirements. - Float RFQs, collect quotations, perform commercial comparisons, and prepare recommendation summaries. - Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers. - Create and release Purchase Orders in ERP as per approved requisitions and material planning requirements. - Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply-related issues. **Supplier Management** - Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers. - Support supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding activities. - Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, and delivery parameters. - Coordinate with suppliers for compliance documents such as RoHS, REACH, BIS, and other statutory requirements. **Inventory & Coordination** - Work closely with Planning and Stores teams to ensure optimum inventory levels. - Monitor stock availability and support actions for low-stock and critical materials. - Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and priorities. **Process & Compliance** - Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. - Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation. - Support cost-saving, localization, and supplier development initiatives. - Participate in process improvement and digitalization projects within Supply Chain. **Reporting** - Prepare procurement MIS reports and track key procurement KPIs. - Maintain supplier databases, quotation records, and purchase documentation. **Required Skills** - Basic understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain Management. - Knowledge of Direct and Indirect Material Procurement processes. - Good analytical and negotiation skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Familiarity with ERP systems. - Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Qualifications** - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. - 14 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations. - Freshers with relevant internships or project experience in procurement/supply chain may also apply. **What We Offer** - Opportunity to work in a global manufacturing organization. - Exposure to international sourcing and supplier management. - Learning and development opportunities within Supply Chain and Operations. - Collaborative and growth-oriented work environment. - Career progression opportunities within the organization.
