Job description

**Location - Durgapur, West Bengal** **Level - Senior Associate** **Exp Range - 4-7** **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and maintain robust SAP ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, workflows (RICEFW objects). - Analyze business requirements and collaborate closely with SAP functional consultants and users to understand process needs and translate them into technical specifications. - Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing ABAP programs for better performance and reliability. - Develop custom SAP forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAPscript) and reports. - Support SAP system upgrades, patches, and transports related to ABAP developments. - Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and support integration and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Provide documentation on design, coding standards, and test cases. - Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, compliance, and security guidelines. - Assist functional teams during specification gathering and solution design. - Collaborate with BASIS and security teams for performance tuning and system maintenance. **Qualifications** **Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. - SAP ABAP certification is an advantage. **Experience** - Minimum 4-7 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. - Proven experience in SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, or PP is a plus. - Experience with enhancement frameworks like User Exits, BAdIs, Customer Exits, and enhancement spots. - Experience in Object-Oriented ABAP programming and Web Dynpro is a plus. **Technical Skills** - Strong proficiency in ABAP programming and debugging tools. - Experience with data dictionary, ALV reports, BAPI, BADI, IDOC, EDI, RFC, and Web Services. - Knowledge of SAP interfaces and integration technologies (ALE/IDOC, PI/PO). - Familiarity with SAP solution manager and transport management. - Basic understanding of SAP workflow development. - Ability to write efficient SQL queries and optimize performance. **Soft Skills** - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
