About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Platform Power & Thermal Validation Engineer** to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating platform-level power and thermal behavior on cutting-edge SoC platforms, developing test automation frameworks, and driving quality through systematic debugging and analysis. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and execute **embedded software test plans** for platform power and thermal validation on SoC-based platforms - Validate **thermal management** behavior including thermal throttling, mitigation policies, and sensor accuracy - Perform **platform power testing** including active power, idle power states (e.g., DRIPS/SLPM), and power rail validation - Develop and maintain **Python-based automation scripts** to streamline test execution, log collection, and result analysis - Leverage **AI/ML tools and techniques** to assist in automated triage, anomaly detection, and test result analysis - Perform low-level **JTAG debugging** using tools like Lauterbach T32 to analyze hardware/software interactions and failures - Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work closely with software and hardware teams to resolve issues - Understand **CPU architecture and microarchitecture** concepts to correlate power/thermal behavior with system activity - Document test cases, test results, bug reports, and validation summaries
