The ideal candidate should have strong experience with modern Python frameworks, API development, containerization technologies, and production deployment of data science or operations research models. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive engineering best practices, contribute to CI/CD and DevOps initiatives, and ensure delivery of robust, scalable, and well-tested solutions in a cloud-native environment. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications and services. - Build and optimize RESTful APIs using modern Python frameworks. - Deploy and operationalize data science and operations research models in production environments. - Develop automated testing frameworks and maintain high code quality standards. - Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines. - Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments through Kubernetes. - Develop event-driven and distributed systems leveraging Kafka. - Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams. - Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance. - Follow software engineering best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines. **Must-Have Skills** - 10+ years of strong experience in Python development. - Expertise in: - FastAPI - Django - Flask - SQLAlchemy - Pydantic - Pytest - MyPy - Strong experience in REST API design and development. - Experience deploying Data Science and/or Operations Research models into production. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. - Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks. - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Experience working in Agile environments.
