**Role :** QA Automation Engineer role **Required Technical Skill Set :** - Non-web automation framework using (C/TCP/TK/C#/JAVA/PERL/Python/Shell) covering critical areas of subsystems like process invocation, resource management, logging, monitoring and publications etc. - Good expertise in Shell, PERL and proven experience in developing utilities using these languages. **Location of Requirement :** Chennai **Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)** Must-Have - Experience level 3 years. - Experience with legacy products and applications (native windows desktop applications) on client /Server architecture. - **Good problem solving and debugging skills** - Proven experience in deriving test cases through reverse engineering approach. - Hands on experience in design and development and maintenance of non-web automation framework using (C/TCP/TK/C#/JAVA/PERL/Python/Shell) covering critical areas of subsystems like process invocation, resource management, logging, monitoring and publications etc. - Good expertise in Shell, PERL and proven experience in developing utilities using these languages. - Good Bug Finding Skills - Proven Debugging and trouble shooting skills preferably with Microsoft Sysmon utilities or UNIX debugging utilities. **Note**: Automation of both the infrastructure (Engineering test data , test bed , setup and tear down procedures for checking different version and application upgrades) along with test functionality is a desired skill Good-to-Have - Apache Flink or Apache Spark - Kafka Security implementation - Stream Processing concepts - Message delivery semantics **Roles Responsibilities :** QA Automation Engineer role in a software product engineering group. - Develops manual testcase / automated test scripts for testing enterprise software products. - Involve in every step of software development- Design, development, testing. - Evaluate Applied Software products using **legacy and modern tools** - **Learn internal test automation tool(s), create and maintain the automation frameworks** - Good in programming and testing automation tools embracing latest and greatest tools and techniques on this area. - Basic Programming skills to generate test data and database operations and SQL. - Active participation in developing high performance software. Skills in performance testing, developing ideas in performance tuning of software is a desirable. - Adaptive to full technology stack, on fast paced, on-the-job learning - Comfortable with Agile/Scrum development and rapid prototyping - Interfaces with internal customers for requirements analysis. - Troubleshoots software problems of limited difficulty.
