You will own the end-to-end test strategy, design and execute test cases, build and maintain the automation suite in ADO (Azure Test Plans), and support UAT sign-off - which is a mandatory gate for each milestone payment. Two positions are available: one with a stronger automation/SDET focus and one with deeper manual and regression testing expertise. **Key Responsibilities** **Test Strategy & Planning** - Develop and deliver the test strategy and design document within ATP+10 business days (SLA per Appendix A) - Define test approach for each milestone covering unit, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing - Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning to identify acceptance criteria and definition of done for each user story - Ensure test cases are mapped to ADO user stories and acceptance criteria (all requirements tracked in Azure Boards) - Contribute to quarterly PI Planning and bi-weekly agile ceremonies; represent QA risks and dependencies **Manual Testing** - Execute manual functional test cases for EWIRE Web features: Routing List Reports, Plugmap (zoom, full-screen), work stamping, discrete scheduling, shift handover notes - Perform regression testing across all 7 existing EWIRE report types and 8 RBAC user roles after every sprint delivery - Conduct API testing for RESTful endpoints using tools such as Postman or ADO-integrated test runners - Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with BIETC stakeholders — UAT acceptance is the production deployment gate - Log, track, and follow up on defects in Azure DevOps (ADO); provide clear defect reports with steps to reproduce, severity, and priority - Validate application performance for reports involving the 15.8 million-record dataset — ensure no degradation per Boeing SLA **Test Automation (SDET)** - Build, maintain, and extend the Selenium with Cucumber (BDD) automated test framework — BIETC's mandated automation stack - Develop feature files in Gherkin syntax aligned with user story acceptance criteria; implement step definitions in the .Net / Java driver - Integrate automation suite into GitLab / ADO CI/CD pipelines so regression runs execute on every build - Report automation metrics biweekly: test pass/failure rates, PR throughput, automation coverage percentage — included in status reports to Boeing PM - Maintain test data (scrap data only — ITAR constraint) and test environment configuration for the TANZU-hosted dev environment **Quality & Reporting** - Provide biweekly written status reports to Boeing PM and stakeholders — including test metrics, risks, and issues - Ensure all delivered features meet Boeing's definition of done: code complete QA complete UAT accepted production deployed - Track quality metrics monthly and present to BIETC Technical Contact — hours spent per work statement, defect rates, rework volumes - Safeguard sensitive project data; follow Boeing security guidelines and ITAR compliance requirements at all times **Technical Skills & Qualifications** **Test Automation** - Selenium WebDriver (mandatory) - Cucumber / BDD / Gherkin (mandatory) - Page Object Model (POM) design - Cross-browser test execution **Manual Testing** - Functional & regression testing - Exploratory testing - API testing (Postman / REST clients) - User Acceptance Testing (UAT) facilitation **Test Management** - Azure Test Plans (ADO) — mandatory - Test case design & traceability - Defect lifecycle management - Test metrics & reporting **Dev Awareness** - Angular / .Net Core (reading-level understanding) - SQL — basic query writing for data validation - REST API structure & response validation - CI/CD pipeline awareness (GitLab / ADO) **Cloud & Environment** - TANZU-hosted dev environment (test execution) - VM-based test environment management - Scrap data test management (ITAR constraint) - SharePoint / ADO documentation **Programming** - C# or Java (Selenium step definitions) - Basic scripting for test data setup - Git / Azure Repos (source control for test code) - VS Code / Visual Studio 2022 **Process** - SAFe / Agile QA practices - Sprint testing within 2-week cycles - Definition of Done ownership - Risk-based test prioritisation **Performance Testing** - Basic load / response time validation - Report performance benchmarking (15.8M records) - Performance regression identification - Collaboration with developers on fix validation **Education** - Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent - ISTQB Foundation or higher certification is advantageous **Behavioural Expectations (Boeing Standards)** - Takes ownership of quality — the definition of done for every milestone depends on QA sign-off - Provides regular, clear updates, technical reports, and thorough documentation in ADO and SharePoint - Responds quickly to changing sprint priorities and adapts test coverage accordingly - Works seamlessly with BIETC resources, Boeing SMEs, and Cyient developers throughout the sprint cycle Maintains high ethical standards; never compromises on data security or ITAR compliance
