**Role & responsibilities** **Quality Engineering & Testing** Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, and system testing across web and mobile applications. Ability to design comprehensive test scenarios, develop detailed test cases, and execute them effectively to ensure high-quality releases. Experience validating end-to-end business workflows and ensuring robust test coverage. **API Testing** Hands-on experience in API testing, including test design, execution, validation, and automation. Proficiency with Karate framework for API test development and maintenance. Strong understanding of REST APIs, request/response validation, and service integration testing. **Automation Testing** Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright (Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript). Ability to create scalable, reusable, and maintainable automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines. Strong focus on improving automation coverage and test reliability. **Cloud & Platform Knowledge** Basic understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch. Familiarity with cloud-based application architectures and testing considerations in distributed environments. **Tools & Process Expertise** Strong working knowledge of Azure Test Plans, JIRA, Zephyr, or similar test management and defect tracking tools. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and quality processes throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). **Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis** Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to identify defects, perform impact analysis, and drive root cause investigations. Ability to work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely defect resolution and quality improvements. **Collaboration & Communication** Demonstrated experience partnering with developers, product managers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear quality updates, risks, and release recommendations. **Domain Expertise** Experience with eCommerce applications, customer journeys, order management, payment gateways, and related workflows is highly desirable. **Key Responsibilities** - Own and drive test planning,test execution, and quality validation activities End to End for new features and enhancements. - Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test assets to ensure adequate test coverage and product quality. - Execute functional,integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across web, mobile, and API layers. - Develop and enhance Playwright-based automation frameworks and API automation using Karate. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria, identify quality risks, and ensure successful feature delivery. - Log, track, validate, and prioritize defects while performing root cause analysis and verifying fixes. - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Support CI/CD and quality engineering initiatives by improving automation coverage, test effectiveness, and release confidence. - Contribute to test environment readiness, test data management, and continuous process improvements. - Provide quality sign-off recommendations based on test results, risk assessments, and release readiness criteria.
