Job Summary As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our product across releases. You will work closely with Engineers, SDETs, and Technical Leads to validate new features, identify risks early, and ensure that critical workflows are thoroughly tested before reaching customers. Your work will directly impact release confidence and customer trust in a SaaS environment. What you ll achieve in your first 3 months • Build a basic understanding of your assigned module, its workflows, and QA processes. • Start writing test cases for new features and performing test runs for ongoing development with support from your buddy. • Participate in weekly sanity test runs before releases with guidance from your buddy to ensure bug-free releases. • Collaborate with engineers to report issues clearly and perform re-testing after fixes. What you ll achieve in your first 6 months • Independently perform end-to-end testing of new features in a timely manner. • Conduct weekly sanity testing independently before every release. • Maintain and update test cases for your assigned module. • Start performing cross-module testing, gain an understanding of dependencies, and collaborate independently with engineers across teams. What you ll achieve in your first 12 months • Take end-to-end ownership of quality and stability for your assigned module. • Develop a deep understanding of the module, its dependencies, and impact on other areas of the product. • Actively participate in retrospectives, product discussions, and initiatives focused on improving customer satisfaction. Required Skills • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Good understanding of testing web applications, mobile apps, and APIs. • Solid knowledge of manual testing concepts such as Functional, System, Integration, and Regression testing. • Strong product mindset with empathy for end users. • Clear communication skills with professional written and verbal articulation. • Ability to use tools like ChatGPT effectively in day-to-day work to improve productivity and quality. Good to Have • Experience with automation testing using Playwright. • Exposure to performance and security testing. • Familiarity with basic debugging techniques, extracting logs, and running SQL queries. • Prior experience working in a SaaS or product-based company.
