Title: Consultant Location: Chennai Experience: 1 to 3 Years Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger, R2R **Job Description: Consultant - Bank Reconciliation process** **Position Overview** We are seeking detail-oriented and analytical professionals to join our Bank Reconciliation Team. The team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records by reconciling bank statements with internal accounting data. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, identifying discrepancies, and supporting compliance with regulatory standards. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts against internal ledgers. - Investigate and resolve discrepancies, including missing transactions, duplicate entries, or timing differences. - Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury teams to ensure smooth cash flow management. - Prepare reconciliation reports and provide insights to management on outstanding items. - Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements. - Assist in process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reconciliations. - Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. **Qualifications** - Bachelors/Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Proven experience in bank reconciliation, accounting, or financial operations. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. - Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.). - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines. **Desired Skills** - Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams. - Ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements. - Experience in high-volume transaction environments is a plus. - Knowledge of regulatory compliance and audit practices. **Work Environment** - Full-time role, typically office-based with potential for hybrid work depending on company policy. - Collaborative team environment with opportunities for career growth in finance and accounting.
