**Role & responsibilities** 1. **Strategic Sourcing:** Lead the procurement of specialized **civil structures**, focusing on **all types of structural steel girders** (e.g., plate, box, composite). 2. **Electrical Material Procurement:** Manage sourcing contracts for critical power transmission materials including **copper, aluminum, and steel conductors**. 3. **Contract Management:** Apply deep understanding of **Price Variation Clauses (PVC)** to mitigate financial risks caused by commodity price fluctuations. 4. **ERP Operations:** Execute daily procurement tasks, purchase requisitions, and vendor evaluations smoothly within the **SAP MM Module**. 5. **Vendor Management:** Identify, onboard, and evaluate specialized vendors and contractors compliance with stringent technical specifications. 6. **Data & Reporting:** Maintain highly organized procurement trackers, cost sheets, and executive presentations using **MS Office** applications. 7. **Compliance & Audits:** Ensure all procurement workflows strictly align with established statutory guidelines and **Railways Procurement norms** **Preferred candidate profile** **1.** **Industry Experience: Approximately 10 years of dedicated experience working directly within Railways Procurement or large-scale railway infrastructure projects.** **2.** **Technical Expertise: Exceptional technical understanding of structural steel engineering items and specialized overhead/underground power conductors.** **3.** **Software Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on operational capability in the SAP MM (Materials Management) module.** **4.** **Analytical Tools: High proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel for data modeling and PowerPoint for corporate reporting.** **5.** **Financial Acumen: Strong capability to calculate, implement, and track complex index-based Price Variation Clauses.**
