**Role & responsibilities** Role : Business Analyst Required Technical Skill Set JIRA, Confluence, SQL, Excel, Agile, Axiom (Preferred) Required Functional Skill Set: Reg Reporting (MUST), Finance, Accounting, Derivatives, Trade Life Cycle, Risk Management, Capital Markets, Investment Reviews the business architecture outlining cost impacts and value drivers of feasibility studies and proposed solutions. - Defines business, process, usability and data requirements in partnership and collaboration with the users. • Utilizes agile ways of working techniques such as storyboards, feature maps and value stream maps, story point estimations, definitions of done • Produces and refines epics and user stories as part of a product backlog, leveraging story writing and story splitting best practices • Formulates and creates functional / non-functional specification documentations in close partnership with engineering teams. • Completes and elaborates functional design in accordance with the defined principles, blueprints, standards, patterns, etc. • Supports the design and conceptualization of new business solution options and articulates identified impacts and risks. • Reviews business facing documentation (e.g. user manuals, solution briefs, functional summaries). - Works with developers to prioritize, trouble shoot and resolve reported bugs/issues/CRs (change requests) on applications. • Works on data discovery, sourcing, modelling and analytics to support creation of data flows and models. This includes researching and profiling data sources in data categories of expertise. - Creates models and reports providing interpretation and insight into business data and processes. - Develops hypotheses to explain why usability, process, functional and data issues have occurred or are likely to occur. - Communicates usability and business process improvement, through application of detailed analytics, pattern and root cause analysis. Leverages visualization techniques • Self manages workload at a work stream lead level • Can act as product owners for the design and implementation of data feeds, tools and user access into a secure data lake in collaboration with clients, architecture, development, test and release management teams • Produces Data Specifications in partnership with Corporate Technology, Chief Data Office, AFC Business and Master Data source providers. • Participates in Process Improvement initiatives and Community of practice initiatives e.g. Agile Transformation. • Interact with the corporate technology governance teams for maintaining and improving processes for a secure data lake using Big Data Technologies • Performs at a work stream lead level **Preferred candidate profile** Overall exp of 5-15+ in IT and Reg Reporting /Investment Banking/Capital Markets Domain • Strong Hands on Experience of IT Business Analyst role involving; Requirement Gathering, Data Onboarding / Sourcing, Data Analysis, Requirement documentation, User Acceptance Testing • Hands on experience of handling Local Reg Reporting requirements for Finance or Operations including products like FX, Derivatives, Bonds, Repos, Loans, Deposits, Trade Finance etc. • Good understanding of the complete Trade Lifecycle for the above mentioned products • Experience of working on any of the Local Regulatory Reporting requirements for APAC Regions • Good Understanding of Post Trade & Settlement Processes along with Accounting principles and standards for reporting like GAAP, IFRS etc • Knowledge of Financial Statements like Balance Sheet, Income & Loss Statement, Cashflow Statement along with other regular reports like EMIR, MIFID, DFA, CCAR, Liquidity Coverage Ratio, Large Exposures Reporting, Non Performing Assets Reporting etc. Must-Have Good-to-Have • Exposure to Functional Testing using Excel based techniques like Vlook Ups and Pivot charts for the Regulatory Data Models, Reports etc • Hands on experience in creation of BRD and FRD, Use cases, Epics, User Stories and sufficient exposure to Scrum way of working for Delivering Requirements • Good knowledge of SDLC processes, agile is must • Have exposure or known to basic SQL and sufficient hands on experience in Data Analysis using SQL, knowledge of Jira, confluence • Conducts UAT (user acceptance testing), defining testing requirements including test plans, test cases, test-data and review of interface testing between different applications. Works with developers to resolve functional issues arising from UAT. • Should be able to demonstrate accountability and ownership over and above assigned tasks • Strong analytical and logical thought process to be able to independently drive and influence positive changes 1. Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently, perform multiple tasks and take decisions where necessary, under minimal supervision. 2. Excellent communication skills
