**About Position:** We are looking for a RF Hardware Engineer to work on 4G/5G femtocell and outdoor small cell products. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in RF design, validation, and troubleshooting, with the ability to independently drive deliverables and contribute from day one. - **Role: RF Hardware Engineer** - **Location: Bangalore** - **Experience: 5 to 8 Years** - **Job Type: Full-Time Employment** **What You'll Do:** - Act as a core member of the Small Cells Hardware Engineering team. - Support RF hardware design, development, validation, and sustaining engineering activities. - Contribute to new product development and platform enhancement initiatives. - Review RF schematics, PCB layouts, antenna integration designs, and hardware architectures. - Optimize RF front-end performance including power amplifiers, filters, and signal chains. - Perform RF bring-up, debugging, validation, and design verification testing. - Execute RF characterization, system performance testing, and calibration activities. - Analyze factory test results and ensure compliance with product specifications. - Utilize industry-standard RF test equipment such as Keysight and Rohde & Schwarz instruments. - Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware-related issues. - Investigate and resolve RF, digital, power, and integration-related field issues. - Work closely with Qualcomm and chipset teams on Layer 1 and calibration-related activities. - Collaborate with software and test teams for hardware-software integration and verification. - Support product deployment activities and performance optimization efforts. - Drive debugging activities across lab and production environments. - Support regulatory certification activities including FCC, CE, and regional compliance requirements. - Ensure products meet industry standards and wireless communication regulations. - Validate RF performance across global frequency bands and deployment scenarios. - Participate in certification testing, issue resolution, and documentation activities. - Collaborate with ODM partners throughout the product lifecycle. - Coordinate with system engineers, test engineers, manufacturing teams, and global stakeholders. - Support product engineering activities from concept through deployment and maintenance. - Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with internal and external teams. - Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers when required. **Expertise You'll Bring:** - 5-8 years of experience in RF Hardware Design, Validation, and Wireless Product Development. - Strong hands-on expertise in RF hardware design and performance optimization. - Experience working on 4G LTE, 5G NR, Small Cell, Femtocell, or Outdoor Radio products. - Deep understanding of RF front-end components including Power Amplifiers (PA), Filters, LNAs, and RF signal chains. - Hands-on experience with RF bring-up, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting. - Strong knowledge of wireless communication systems and PHY layer concepts. - Experience using RF test and measurement equipment such as Keysight and Rohde & Schwarz analyzers. - Understanding of RF debugging methodologies and hardware performance analysis. - Knowledge of antenna integration and RF system-level optimization. - Experience working with Qualcomm chipsets and wireless platform architectures. - Exposure to regulatory compliance testing such as FCC, CE, and regional certification standards. - Knowledge of global frequency bands including C-Band, N77, N78, and N79. - Experience collaborating with ODMs, manufacturing partners, and product lifecycle teams. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities. - Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with global engineering teams. - Experience in high-power RF / outdoor small cell products - Exposure to regulatory compliance testing (FCC, CE, regional standards) - Knowledge of global bands (e.g., C-band, N77/N79) - Experience working with ODM partners and product lifecycle teams **Benefits:** - Competitive salary and benefits package - Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies - Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards - Annual health check-ups - Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents **Values-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:** Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
