We are looking for a senior leader to shape, implement, and oversee the organization’s **enterprise risk management, compliance, governance, and internal-control framework** . This is an opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, strengthen risk culture, and drive meaningful change across the business. What You’ll Lead - Development and enhancement of the **Enterprise Risk Management framework** - Identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of operational, financial, regulatory, conduct, and reputational risks - Risk assessments, scenario analysis, stress testing, and risk-event reporting - Risk registers, mitigation plans, control frameworks, and **Key Risk Indicators** - Compliance with applicable **US or UK insurance regulations** - Compliance monitoring, internal audits, regulatory-change management, and control implementation - Development of risk, compliance, governance, and internal-control policies - Reporting to senior management, risk committees, audit committees, and the Board - Risk-based advice, constructive challenge, and guidance to senior stakeholders - Leadership, mentoring, and development of risk and compliance professionals - Ongoing evolution of the organization’s **risk appetite and governance frameworks** What We’re Looking For ✅ 12–16+ years of experience in **Insurance Risk, Compliance, or Audit** ✅ Strong hands-on expertise in insurance risk and regulatory compliance ✅ Mandatory experience within the **US or UK insurance market** ✅ Strong understanding of **Enterprise Risk Management** ✅ Knowledge of **ISO 31000, COSO ERM, and/or IRM Risk Management Standards** ✅ Good understanding of **Conduct Risk** obligations ✅ Experience delivering risk-management transformation or change programs ✅ Excellent stakeholder management, report writing, presentation, and influencing skills ✅ Degree qualification or a relevant professional certification, such as **IRM** ✅ Exposure to the **Life & Pensions outsourcing business model** will be an advantage ⚠️ Important Eligibility Requirement This is an **Insurance Risk & Compliance** position—not an IT Risk, Cyber Risk, Information Security, or Technology Risk role. **Prior insurance experience in the US or UK is mandatory.** Candidates whose experience is limited to IT, cyber, technology risk, non-insurance sectors, or domestic insurance markets without relevant US/UK exposure may not be considered.
