**About Chargebee** Chargebee is a leading provider of billing and monetization solutions, empowering businesses with recurring revenue models to streamline revenue and finance operations, capture actionable insights, and drive growth. Chargebee is trusted by businesses of all sizes, including Zapier, LegalZoom, Lambda, Freshworks, DeepL, Condé Nast, and Pret a Manger, and is proud to have been consistently recognized by customers as a Leader in Subscription Management on G2. With headquarters in North Bethesda, Maryland, our team members are based primarily in India, the U.S., and Europe. **About the role (Job Summary)** You'll be talking to founders. Early-stage, fast-moving, often pre-revenue. They've booked a meeting with us because they know billing is a problem they need to solve — your job is to confirm that, show them exactly what they need to see, and close. **What you’ll do (role and responsibilities)** - Running inbound discovery and closing calls with early-stage startup founders across the US and EMEA — companies with fewer than 10 employees, often pre-revenue or under $100K ARR - Qualifying prospects fast, identifying the right offer, and closing deals in one call wherever possible - Working multiple lead sources — inbound demo bookings, form applications, high-growth trial accounts, and warm handoffs — each with a different approach - Positioning Chargebee not as a product but as growth infrastructure — something founders set up once and grow into, not something that slows them down - Handling objections with clarity and confidence, not scripts — especially the tough ones around pricing, complexity, and why not just use the free plan - Managing a high volume of accounts without losing the personal touch that closes early-stage founders **What you’ll bring (required skills and experience)** - 2+ years of experience in client facing roles - Good problem solving skills — ability to simplify complex problems and provide solution to the customers - Understand what a good customer conversation looks like - You can run a focused, story-driven conversation — you sell the outcome, not the feature list - You're comfortable making quick decisions — which offer to lead with, when to push, when to listen - You write clearly and concisely — a lot of this motion runs on sharp emails that move deals forward without scheduling unnecessary calls - You manage your time well independently — this is a high-volume role and things move fast
