**Role & responsibilities** **Skills** **SAP Basis Skills** Technical Skills Perform Health Checks - Production/Non- Production Provide RCA (Root Cause Analysis) Documentation on System Configuration Transport management via ChaRM or **STMS** Performance Degradation CPU Utilization checks/culprits from ST06 Memory Management & Allocation sequence for WPs SAP Security Notes ABAP activities DB Related T-code HANA Administration Java Administration Other tools BO, Sybase, DB2, CALM, FRUN etc. SolMan Usage Perspective Support Skills Refresh, Upgrades 24\\*7 Support - Rotational Shifts Archiving, Partitioning **Security SAP Security Activities User Creation, SAP Notes/SNotes, Assigning Roles, security monitoring, updates, compliance** **Position: SAP Basis + Security Consultant** Job Summary: The role involves end-to-end SAP Basis administration, team leadership, and operational excellence in a 24x7 environment.Key Responsibilities:• Deliver SAP Basis support across S/4HANA, Business Suite, EWM, and associated landscapes• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, transport management (ChaRM/CTMS)• Handle data growth analysis, security updates, deletion/partitioning, system refreshes, and upgrades• Manage SAP HANA, including performance optimization and troubleshooting across ERP, BW, BW4HANA• Drive incident and change management in line with ITIL practices• Create and maintain shift rosters, ensure task allocation and productivity improvement• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure planning, system sizing, HA/DR strategies• Maintain system documentation, support IT audits, and ensure compliance• Provide RCA, support patching, upgrades, and kernel/database maintenance• Train junior consultants and ensure knowledge sharing within the teamTechnical Skills:• Expertise in SAP Basis (ABAP + Java Stack), Solution Manager• OS: Unix/Linux/Windows; DB: HANA, ASE, Oracle, DB2, MaxDB• Strong hands-on with SAP installations, refreshes, upgrades, and patches• Performance monitoring (CPU, memory, I/O), SAP system assessments• Understanding of Unicode conversions, system copies, and user managementMust-Have Execution Skills:• Experience in multiple SAP support projects• Solid understanding of ITIL framework, incident & change management• Ability to work independently on planning, sizing, and architecture-related tasksDesired Profile:• Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills• Exposure to Agile methodologies and project basics• Self-driven with ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines **Preferred candidate profile**
