**Job Requisition** **SAP BASIS / Security / Cloud (AWS) Techno-Manager (Architect)** **Experience:** 12+ years | **Type:** Full-time | **Role:** Techno-Manager — hands-on architecture Role Summary We are seeking a SAP Techno-Manager who combines deep, hands-on technical mastery with proven people and delivery leadership. This is a dual role: the successful candidate personally architects and executes complex SAP-on-AWS work — migrations, system copies, upgrades, security — while also leading and managing a team and owning customer relationships. They must be equally credible at the keyboard and in front of a client or leadership. Key Responsibilities Technical / Architecture • Architect new SAP landscapes end-to-end: system provisioning, VPC and network design, firewall / security-group configuration, sizing, and high-availability / DR design through to go-live. • Lead and personally execute SAP migrations using DMO (Database Migration Option), heterogeneous / homogeneous system copies, and platform moves across Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Sybase ASE, and SAP HANA. • Plan and execute SAP and database upgrades — stack (SPS / EHP) and version upgrades — including pre-checks, side-effect analysis, and rollback planning. • Provide deep troubleshooting across SAP BASIS, SAP Security, and AWS infrastructure layers. • Define and enforce security hardening standards (SNC, SSO, authorizations, SoD) across the estate. • Own AWS infrastructure for SAP: EC2 / EBS sizing, networking, IAM, cost optimization, and operational tooling. Management / Delivery • Manage and develop a team of BASIS / Security engineers — work allocation, performance management, mentoring, and capability building. • Own delivery: planning, prioritization, status reporting, and accountability for the team's technical outcomes. • Manage customer relationships directly — lead technical discussions, manage expectations, handle escalations, and represent the team to stakeholders, vendors, and leadership. Mandatory Requirements • 12+ years in SAP BASIS, with demonstrated SAP Architect-level experience. • Proven end-to-end implementation experience — at least one full landscape architected and delivered to go-live (non-negotiable). • Hands-on expertise in SAP migrations, DMO, and system copies across multiple databases (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Sybase, HANA). • Strong working knowledge of SAP HANA and IBM DB2 administration. • Strong, current AWS knowledge: VPC, security groups / firewalls, EC2 / EBS, IAM, and SAP-on-AWS deployment (mandatory). • Strong troubleshooting across SAP BASIS, SAP Security, and AWS. • Proven people-management experience — leading and developing a technical team. • Strong customer-handling skills — owning relationships, expectations, and escalations directly. Added Advantage (Preferred, not required) • System refresh experience across different database platforms. • Client copy, client export / import, and database-level copy operations. • Database-side upgrade depth (Oracle / DB2 / HANA version upgrades). • Automation / scripting for BASIS operations (Python / Shell), CI/CD for infrastructure. • SAP S/4HANA conversion or RISE with SAP experience. • team member — not just directed work, but developed a person.
