Job Description SAP BW Support & Maintenance • Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP BW/BW on HANA/BW/4HANA environments. • Monitor and resolve issues related to Process Chains, Data Loads, DTPs, Info Packages, and data extraction. • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, load failures, authorization issues, and reporting problems. • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. • Support incident, problem, change, and release management activities. • Monitor BW job performance and optimize data loading processes. • Coordinate transports across Development, QA, and Production environments. • Work closely with Basis, ABAP, Functional, and Infrastructure teams. Enhancements & Development • Develop and maintain the end-to-end flow in the BW system • Develop and troubleshoot Start, End, Field, and Expert Routines. • Support BEx Queries and reporting enhancements. • Perform performance tuning of BW objects and queries. BW Inventory Assessment & Rationalization • Perform comprehensive inventory of SAP BW landscapes. • Document BW objects • Analyze object dependencies and end-to-end data lineage. • Identify unused, obsolete, and redundant BW objects. • Support application rationalization and BW cleanup initiatives. • Document custom developments and embedded business logic. • Assist in preparing migration readiness assessments for BW modernization/BW exit programs. Documentation & Governance • Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials. • Maintain inventory reports and dependency documentation. • Participate in architecture reviews and modernization workshops. • Ensure adherence to development standards and governance processes. Required Skills SAP BW • SAP BW 7.x / BW on HANA / BW/4HANA • Data Modeling • ADSOs • CompositeProviders • MultiProviders • InfoObjects • Process Chains • DTP • Transformations • Open Hub • BEx Query Designer Technical • ABAP Debugging • Start/End/Expert Routines • HANA Modeling (preferred) • SQL • Eclipse BW Modeling Tools Nice to Have • SAP Datasphere • SAP Data Intelligence • SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) • Databricks • Azure/AWS Data Platforms • Power BI • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Experience • SAP BW/BW on HANA/BW/4HANA experience. • Strong experience in SAP BW production support and enhancement activities. • Experience in BW inventory assessment, system documentation, or modernization projects is highly desirable. • Exposure to BW migration or BW exit initiatives is an added advantage. Preferred Competencies • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to understand complex BW landscapes and business processes. • Experience working in global support environments. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
