SAP BW HANA - Technical Lead

Job description

We are seeking an experienced **SAP BW Technical Lead** to drive the transition from an incumbent vendor and lead end-to-end SAP BW delivery. The role requires strong technical expertise, transition management capabilities and the ability to stabilize and optimize existing data platforms while enabling future-ready architecture. **Responsibilities** - Lead transition and knowledge transfer from incumbent team, ensuring minimal business disruption - Own SAP BW landscape (BW on HANA/BW4HANA) including design, development and support - Assess current architecture and define optimization / modernization roadmap - Ensure data quality, performance tuning and system stability - Collaborate with business, functional and cross-technology teams (ETL, reporting, analytics) - Establish best practices, coding standards and governance - Drive incident resolution, root cause analysis and continuous improvement - Mentor team members and build a high-performing delivery team **Requirements** - 8-14 years of experience in software development, including 8+ years of hands-on expertise in SAP BW - Background in transition / KT from incumbent vendors - Deep knowledge of BW on HANA / BW4HANA, data modeling and performance optimization - Familiarity with SAP ecosystem (e.g., SAP HANA, SAP BO or SAC) - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills - Capability to operate in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
