P **osition: SAP MDM/MDG** Exp **erience: 4 to 12 years** L **ocation: Trivandrum** **JOB DESCRIPTIO** N **Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)** **Must-Have** To succeed in **SAP Master Data Management (MDM)** and its modern successor **SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)** , professionals need a blend of core data principles, functional domain knowledge, and technical customization skills. *(Note: SAP MDM is an older, legacy repository-based tool, whereas SAP MDG is the current S/4HANA-based governance standard* **Core & Functional Skills** - **Master Data Concepts:** Understand data lifecycles, data stewardship, deduplication, and data quality frameworks. - **ERP Domain Knowledge:** Strong background in core SAP modules like MM (Material Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), or FICO (Financial Accounting) to understand business partner, customer, vendor, and material master data. - **Data Modeling:** Know how to structure entity types, attributes, relationships, and custom extensions for specific business domains. - **Governance & Change Requests:** Configure change request workflows, approval hierarchies, and step-by-step validation processes **Good-to-Have** **SAP S/4HANA & Modern Technology** - **SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement:** Shifting from old ERP habits to the modern S/4HANA data model. You must know how to set up the **Business Partner (BP)** concept instead of the old vendor master screens. - **SAP Fiori:** Understanding role-based apps for managing requisitions and approvals instead of relying solely on backend transaction codes. **Responsibility / Expectations** 1 Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance. 2 Experience working with SAP support & Implementation\\Data Migration projects – ECC & SAP S4 3 Experience understanding business process 4 Ability to learn new technologies with minimal training or supervision.
