**Role & responsibilities** Must-Have • Advanced skill set and enterprise experience across various Microsoft device management and related technologies, to include architecture experience in MECM (formerly known as SCCM) - Experience in collaborating with other system and network architects, security engineering, and infrastructure engineering to plan and deliver various solutions within the Patch management team - Hands-on experience in designing, configuring and implementing/ upgrading of MECM (System Center Configuration Manager) products and other Microsoft System Center and Infrastructure solutions - Extensive architecture and engineering experience of device management (server) with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (MECM) in a large-scale enterprise - Deep understanding of MECM components, roles, interactions, and system dependencies. - Significant experience with delivery optimization using BranchCache (Distributed Cache and Hosted Cache) design principals - Experience designing and supporting large scale OS patch operations, Vulnerability Remediation creating patching strategies, fixing broken clients, checks and balances to ensure consistent high patch compliance - Experience in extending MECM (SCCM) infrastructure to newly created domains, Windows Server infrastructure from acquisitions & mergers - Experience in Application Packaging, Testing and Deployments - Experience in creating strategies, processes for application deployment and to ensure timely clean-up of unused configurations, stale objects. - Ability to trouble-shoot and mitigate MECM configuration issues and complex WAN issues related to patch replication and deployment. - Understand security best practices, policies and standards to design highly secure on-prem/ cloud architectures - Strong understanding of the mechanics and processes for developing end to end provisioning processes in SCCM to including images, software deployment, and patching. - Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, as well as both the business and technical communities Good-to-Have • Knowledge of standard ITIL processes such as life cycle management and ITSM. - Proven scripting experience using PowerShell or equivalent tools, along with an understanding of Microsoft API s and tool integration. - SQL knowledge as it pertains to the design of the SCCM database and reporting services (SSRS). - Advanced understanding of network concepts including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, etc.
