**Hungry, Humble, Honest, with a Heart.** **The Opportunity** Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud, is looking to hire an SDET for the Metadata team. Nutanix welcomes builders, those who are unafraid to take on hard challenges and learn new technologies. **Your Role:** - Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems, and design innovative solutions for customer requirements - Participate in feature design and delivery, influencing decisions with a strong bias towards quality and customer delight - Design high-level test approaches and implement detailed test plans based on the requirements to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment - Automate tests - executing them as part of new feature delivery and enabling automated regression runs for subsequent releases - Analyze failures, determine root cause and drive them to resolution - Develop independent frameworks to improve development and testing processes - Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues **What you’ll bring:** - Strong practical understanding of databases - Ability to innovate and solve problems - Love of programming - must be rock solid in at least one of these programming languages: Python, Go, C, C++, Java - Hands-on knowledge of UNIX/Linux - Ability to work independently - Strong communication skills and a strong team player - Acquaintance with Docker and/or Kubernetes is desirable - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required Work Arrangement Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 4 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
