**Position Overview** **Job Title: Senior Angular Engineer – AI-First Frontend Development** **Corporate Title: Vice President** **Location: Pune, India** **Role Description** - We are looking for a senior engineering leader who can drive modern frontend development using Angular with an AI-first approach. In this role, you will define how user-facing applications are designed and built, ensuring high performance, usability, and consistency across platforms. You will work closely with business and engineering teams to deliver practical solutions that meet real user needs. - A key part of the role is driving the use of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to speed up development, improve code quality, and simplify complex UI workflows. You will set standards, guide teams, and ensure that frontend systems are scalable and easy to maintain. - Strong Angular expertise is required, along with hands-on experience using AI tools in development, and a basic understanding of LLMs and how AI integrates into applications. This role is for someone who can lead both technology and delivery, and help teams build faster and smarter using AI. **What We’ll Offer You** As part of our flexible scheme, here are just some of the benefits that you’ll enjoy, - Best in class leave policy. - Gender neutral parental leaves - 100% reimbursement under childcare assistance benefit (gender neutral) - Sponsorship for Industry relevant certifications and education - Employee Assistance Program for you and your family members - Comprehensive Hospitalization Insurance for you and your dependents - Accident and Term life Insurance - Complementary Health screening for 35 yrs. and above **Your Key Responsibilities** - Lead AI-First Frontend Development: Define and drive the strategy for building modern Angular applications with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Copilot Chat, agent-based tools) embedded across the development lifecycle. - Architect Scalable Frontend Systems: Design and deliver scalable, high-performance, and maintainable Angular applications that work consistently across platforms and devices. - Drive UX & Usability Standards: Partner with design, product, and business teams to ensure user-facing applications are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with real user needs. - Simplify Complex UI Workflows: Use AI tools and modern Angular patterns to simplify complex UI flows, accelerate delivery, and reduce engineering effort. - Set Frontend Engineering Standards: Establish and enforce standards for Angular architecture, component design, state management, performance, accessibility, and AI-assisted development. - Improve Code Quality with AI: Drive adoption of AI tools to improve code quality, testing coverage, code reviews, and developer productivity. - Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical direction, conduct design and code reviews, and mentor engineers to elevate the frontend engineering bar. - Collaboration with Backend & Platform Teams: Work closely with backend, API, and platform teams to ensure seamless integration between frontend, services, and AI components. - Delivery Ownership: Lead both technology and delivery — ensuring frontend initiatives are delivered on time, with quality, and with measurable impact. - Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging frontend frameworks, AI tools, and patterns; pilot new approaches and operationalize the ones that prove value. **Your Skills And Experience** - Core Angular Expertise (9–12 Years): Strong, hands-on experience building enterprise-grade applications in Angular (modern versions), including component architecture, RxJS, state management (NgRx or similar), routing, forms, and performance tuning. - Modern Frontend Stack: Deep proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and modern build tools (Angular CLI, Webpack, Vite, etc.). - AI-Augmented Development: Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Copilot Chat, agent-based tools) to accelerate development without compromising quality. - LLM & AI Awareness: Basic, working understanding of LLMs and how AI capabilities (chat, suggestions, summarization, RAG-based features) integrate into user-facing applications via APIs. - UI/UX Engineering: Strong sense of design, usability, accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and consistent design-system implementation. - Performance & Optimization: Experience optimizing Angular applications for performance — lazy loading, change detection, bundle size, rendering, and Core Web Vitals. - API Integration: Strong grounding in REST, WebSockets, and event-driven APIs; experience integrating frontends with microservices and AI/LLM-backed services. - Quality Engineering: Commitment to clean code, SOLID principles, automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end with Jasmine/Karma/Jest/Cypress/Playwright), and AI-assisted test generation. - DevOps & Automation: Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, code quality tools (ESLint, Prettier, SonarQube), and automation-first thinking. - Secure & Responsible Frontend: Awareness of frontend security (XSS, CSRF, auth flows), privacy, and responsible-AI considerations when embedding AI features in the UI. - Design Systems & Reusability: Experience building and scaling shared component libraries, design systems, and reusable UI patterns across multiple applications. **Soft Skills** - Vision & Direction-Setting: Ability to set a clear technical vision for AI-first frontend engineering and influence adoption across teams. - Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead without authority, align stakeholders, and drive change across multiple engineering and product groups. - Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex frontend and AI concepts to engineers, designers, product, and business stakeholders. - Stakeholder Management: Comfortable engaging with business and product stakeholders to gather requirements, manag
