Location: Bangalore, KA, IN Company: Alstom Could you be the full-time Compute Cloud Architect in Bangalore were looking for **Your future role** Take on a new challenge and apply your cloud and infrastructure expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates. Youll play a critical role in shaping the Alstom Transport strategy, designing compute and cloud servicesespecially public cloud servicesand ensuring seamless integration of business solutions within Alstoms infrastructure landscape. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (such as IST Business Partners, Projects, and Operations), evaluate new technologies, and contribute to strategic roadmaps, among other responsibilities. Youll specifically take care of designing and promoting public cloud services, but also providing technical assistance for business solutions within Alstoms IT environment. Well look to you for: Responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing cloud architectures across public, private, and hybrid environments. This role ensures that cloud solutions are secure, scalable, cost-efficient, and aligned with business and enterprise architecture standards. Acts as a technical leader, trusted advisor for stakeholders, and mentor for cloud and platform teams. - Collecting and analyzing business demands from IST Business Partners - Evaluating and integrating new technology solutions into strategic roadmaps - Initiating and contributing to projects identified in strategic roadmaps - Defining the service catalog and technological standards roadmap - Participating in IST innovation initiatives - Define and govern Kubernetes architectures ( AKS, OKE, OpenShift) Establish cloud-native architectural patterns - Contributing to and validating project scoping, general design, and business cases - Providing technical assistance and expertise in adopting public cloud services - Collaborating with the global Compute Cloud team to consolidate infrastructure strategies **All about you** We value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, weve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: Define cloud architecture solutions for complex enterprise systems Design scalable, resilient, and secure architectures across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS Lead architectural decisions for cloud migrations, modernizations, and cloud-native initiatives Establish reference architectures, patterns, and standards **Technology Leadership** Provide expertise and Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance frameworks **Security, Governance Compliance** Integrate security-by-design principles (IAM, encryption, network security, zero trust) Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements (ISO, GDPR, etc.) Define cloud governance models (landing zones, guardrails, cost controls) **Delivery Transformation** Partner with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver cloud solutions Support large-scale cloud migration and transformation programs Review and approve architectural designs and technical roadmaps Optimize cloud cost management (FinOps best practices) **Stakeholder Management** Collaborate with business leaders to translate requirements into cloud solutions Present architectural decisions to executive and technical stakeholders Work closely with vendors, system integrators, and cloud service providers - Degree in Engineering, preferably in Information Technology. - Overall 10+ yrs, More than 5 years of experience in Architecture, with a focus on hosting and cloud services - Certification as an Azure Solution Architect (AZ305) is mandatory - Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Shell, Bash, Ansible, and Terraform - Experience with operating systems such as Windows Desktop, RHEL, and Ubuntu - Familiarity with DevOps tools like GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Git, and REST API - Strong communication skills, efficiency, and ability to execute - Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a results-oriented mindset - Fluency in English and eagerness to work autonomously in an international environment **Things youll enjoy** Join us on a life-long transformative journey the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
