About the Role The Senior Associate will own high-impact workstreams for Energy-sector clients, combining deep sub-sector expertise with adaptable advisory skills across adjacent markets. The role will diagnose performance, strategy, restructuring, and operational challenges; convert analysis into clear recommendations; and support implementation that improves value, resilience, and execution. Success requires strong ownership of analyses, client-ready communication, team leadership, and the judgment to connect operational levers with financial and strategic impact. Based in Gurgaon and working onsite, you will collaborate closely with senior professionals and client teams on complex, time-sensitive engagements. Key Responsibilities • Own end-to-end workstreams across Energy consulting engagements, structuring ambiguous problems, defining analyses, and converting findings into decisions that improve client performance and enterprise value. • Lead market, operational, financial, and strategic analyses using structured problem-solving, data, and business judgment to identify root causes and prioritize value-creation opportunities. • Develop actionable recommendations for strategy, restructuring, performance improvement, analytics, and operational transformation, linking each initiative to measurable commercial or operating outcomes. • Manage client interactions and senior stakeholder communication, presenting concise insights, challenging assumptions constructively, and building alignment around implementation priorities and ownership. • Guide analysts and associates through problem definition, quality assurance, synthesis, and delivery, raising team capability while maintaining high standards for accuracy, pace, and clarity. • Contribute to proposals, business development, and knowledge building by applying Energy-sector expertise to shape differentiated perspectives, compelling solutions, and repeatable intellectual capital. • Adapt across adjacent Energy sub-sectors while maintaining deep expertise in at least one area, ensuring recommendations reflect sector economics, operating realities, and relevant value drivers. Essential Skills & Technologies • Deep expertise in at least one Energy sub-sector, such as O&G upstream or downstream, chemicals, mining, power, or utilities, with the ability to transfer insights across adjacent markets. • Strong experience in consulting, advisory, or relevant industry roles spanning strategy, restructuring, performance improvement, analytics, or operational consulting, with ownership of complex workstreams. • Advanced problem-solving, financial and operational analysis, executive communication, and stakeholder-management skills, supported by strong proficiency in standard analytical and presentation tools. Additional Plus • Experience delivering implementation programs or transformation initiatives where recommendations were translated into operating changes, performance gains, or measurable financial improvement. • Exposure to multiple Energy sub-sectors, market situations, or geographies, enabling faster pattern recognition and more relevant recommendations for complex client contexts. • Demonstrated contribution to proposals, client development, thought leadership, or internal capability building that strengthens the practice and creates new commercial opportunities. What You'll Bring • 4–8 years of total professional experience, including 3–6 years of post-MBA experience, gained in consulting, advisory, or relevant Energy industry roles. • A strong academic foundation, including an MBA or related postgraduate qualification, with the commercial maturity to engage senior client stakeholders and influence important decisions. • Demonstrated depth in at least one Energy sub-sector and the adaptability to work credibly across O&G, chemicals, mining, power, and utilities as client priorities require. • A record of owning analytical and problem-solving workstreams across strategy, restructuring, performance improvement, analytics, or operational consulting engagements. • The ability to move from data and diagnosis to practical recommendations, implementation priorities, and measurable business impact without losing attention to detail. • Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including the confidence to synthesize complex issues for executives and facilitate productive discussions with diverse stakeholders. • A collaborative leadership style that develops junior team members, improves quality, and maintains momentum in fast-paced, high-expectation en
