Senior AWS Migration Engineer with Gen AI

Job description

We are seeking a Senior AWS Migration Engineer with Gen AI expertise to lead the end-to-end migration of on-premises applications to AWS while integrating modern AI capabilities into cloud workloads. The ideal candidate will combine strong cloud architecture skills with hands-on experience in AWS migration tools, automation and emerging Generative AI services to deliver scalable, secure and cost-optimized solutions. Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end migration of on-prem applications to AWS using Rehost, Replatform and Refactor approaches • Assess existing infrastructure, identify dependencies and define migration strategy • Design scalable, secure and cost-optimized AWS architectures • Perform hands-on work with AWS migration tools such as AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS DataSync and Snowball • Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation • Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools including GitLab CI, Jenkins and CodePipeline • Implement monitoring and logging using CloudWatch, CloudTrail and Prometheus • Integrate AI/ML capabilities into cloud workloads such as chatbots, automation and data insights • Apply Generative AI services in AWS including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker and OpenAI APIs • Drive AI-driven automation in DevOps and migration processes Requirements • 5 to 8 years of professional experience in cloud engineering and migration • Expertise in AWS compute services including EC2, Lambda and ECS/EKS • Proficiency in AWS storage services such as S3, EBS and EFS • Knowledge of AWS database services including RDS, Aurora and DynamoDB • Background in AWS networking with VPC, VPN and Direct Connect • Skills in AWS security services including IAM, KMS and Secrets Manager • Hands-on experience with AWS migration tools such as MGN, DMS and DataSync/Snowball • Competency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation • Familiarity with CI/CD tools including GitLab CI, Jenkins and CodePipeline • Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail and Prometheus • Basic to intermediate exposure to Generative AI services including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker and OpenAI APIs • Knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM-based application use cases We offer • Opportunity to work on technical challenges that may impact across geographies • Vast opportunities for self-development: online university, knowledge sharing opportunities globally, learning opportunities through external certifications • Opportunity to share your ideas on international platforms • Sponsored Tech Talks & Hackathons • Unlimited access to LinkedIn learning solutions • Possibility to relocate to any EPAM office for short and long-term projects • Focused individual development • Benefit package: • Health benefits • Retirement benefits • Paid time off • Flexible benefits • Forums to explore beyond work passion (CSR, photography, painting, sports, etc.) EPAM is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services.
