Job description

Job Purpose · Be part of the backend engineering team in Enterprise Factory to design, build and maintain Golang-based microservices powering critical retail banking channels of HDFC Bank, with a strong focus on performance, reliability and security. Job Responsibilities: - Design, develop and maintain Golang- based microservices and batch programs using gRPC, REST and GoRoutines, meeting agreed availability, performance and scalability targets. - Contribute to solution design by translating functional and non-functional requirements into robust service contracts and data models. - Implement secure coding practices, input validation and proper error handling in line with bank's security and compliance standards. - Collaborate with architects, product owners, BAs and QA to refine user stories clarify technical approaches and ensure end-to-end delivery quality. - Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Ensure clear, maintainable inline code documentation and technical notes to support future enhancements and production support. - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build and deployment automation for SIT, UAT and production environments where required. - Continuously upgrade self and team capability in Golang, cloud-native patterns, databases and backend technologies relevant to the stack. Requirements: 8-10 years of experience. At least 3+ years of hands-on experience developing APIs and microservices in Golang, including gRPC and REST. · Strong experience with GoRoutines, channels and concurrency patterns. · Experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures, including service discovery, configuration and observability basics (logging, metrics, tracing). · Good understanding and practical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling and persistence layer integration from Golang services.
