Global Sales & Services Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales and services priorities and works with sales and services leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales and services teams, which are delivering approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support global sales and services teams comprised of nearly 9,000 associates who sell to and service every major function, industry and market sector around the world. **About the role:** The role is a part of the Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team in GSSO. The TP&A team is focused on designing the optimal territory investment, design and alignment strategy to maximize Sales (and Services) productivity. The Senior Business Analyst will be the strategic partner for Service Leadership across Global Services & Delivery (GS&D). GS&D serves as a critical connection point between our clients and Gartner’s indispensable insights, advice, and tools. They ensure our clients get the most value from their relationship with Gartner through high value engagement aligned to clients’ Mission Critical Priorities. TP&A for Services is considered as a vital strategic partner in the business’ effort to capture its massive market opportunity. The Senior Business Analyst will partner with leaders across Gartner's global Client Services Organization to determine where, when and how the company should optimize its substantial investment in Services professionals. The TP&A team enables Services leaders to focus more of their time on developing their teams and driving results by acting as a key advisor to guide strategic and tactical decision-making at the regional and local levels regarding the design of services territories and associate productivity. **What you will do:** - Partner with Gartner's Services leaders to define growth needs and design territories that align with corporate services strategy and guidelines - Analyse internal and external data to identify trends and characterize market opportunity at various levels (e.g., region, industry, local area, company) to inform the design strategy - Provide Services managers & leaders with detailed description of respective territories to enable effective communication and planning with their team on their territories - Drive ad-hoc analyses to inform decision-making of Gartner's Services leaders and C-level executives - Run annual and monthly processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and growth and help services leaders achieve retention targets - Independently and completely own high-complexity analytical projects that entail detailed analysis of territory and retention data to provide senior services leaders information and advice to maximize revenue and margin - Facilitate decision-making by modelling potential scenarios related to allocation of services professionals (both business development and account management executives), current clients and prospects - Drive regular and multiple custom data analyses to inform decision-making of Gartner's services leaders and C-level executives - Collaborate with TP&A managers and leaders to independently and fully support one or more services regions as described - Establish and share best practices related to creating and optimizing services territories **What you will need:** - 3+ years analytics experience required - Exceptional analytical skills, including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel, databases, PowerPoint, ThinkCell, Python, Power Query & SQL - Analytical skills include running modelling scenarios, testing hypotheses and working with non-conforming data sets, generating analytical insights etc. - Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills to enable direct and frequent conversations with senior leaders in Gartner (VP/RVP/SVP/GVP level) - PowerBI and Python is preferred - Demonstrated ability to form relationships with and influence senior leaders - Ability to deal with ambiguity and independently own project from start to finish **What you will get** **:** - Competitive salary, generous paid time off policy, charity match program, Group Medical Insurance, Parental Leave, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and more! - Collaborative, team-oriented culture that embraces diversity - Professional development and unlimited growth opportunities #GSSO **Who are we?** At Gartner, Inc.
