As part of Qualcomm CPU Software Architecture team, you will develop and optimize Software that pushes the envelope on performance, energy efficiency, and scalability. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the world of compute products from conceptualization through post-silicon verification. - Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. - Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years of Software Engineering or related experience. Excellent in programming using C/C++/Assembly/Scripting. In-depth Understanding of software stack - Linux Internals/device drivers. Strong understanding of Computer architecture and Operating system concepts. - Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Leverages knowledge of CPU Architecture to develop and/or optimize Software for high performance and low power. Run benchmarks for applications and performs critical pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals are met. Analyze Software workloads in order to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Debugs and addresses Software performance issues. Collaborates with CPU, Compiler and External (Benchmark vendors, Open source) teams to identify solutions that meet CPU performance requirements.
