**Senior Electrical Design Engineer** **The opportunity** **As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Transformer Design at the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India,** you’ll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and collaboration. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experts from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to building a sustainable future. **How You’ll Make An Impact** - The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformer design covering different countries. - Influence specification at the tender and pre-tender stage, through conceptual discussions. - Responsible to prepare electrical design Quotation meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / IEC /IS standards as per project schedule. - Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule. - Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network. - Participation in internal design concept reviews. - Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference. - Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world. - Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business. - Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. **Your background** - B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering. - 9 to 12 years’ experience working in Electrical design for Power Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered. - Order Engineering experience is required. Deep understanding manufacturing of transformer is required. - Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics. - Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards/ Canadian Standards. - Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous. - Experience on Microsoft office and tools. - Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world. - Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference. - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
