Job description

**Job Title:** Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager MEP (PHE & Fire Fighting) **Location:** Pune **Department:** Projects / MEP **Company:** K Raheja Corp **Job Purpose:** To lead execution, coordination, and monitoring of Plumbing (PHE), Fire Fighting, and associated MEP works at project sites, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and statutory compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** **1. Project Execution & Supervision** - Lead on-site execution of PHE and Fire Fighting systems in line with approved drawings and timelines. - Supervise installation of water supply, drainage, sewage, STP/ETP, fire hydrant, sprinkler, and related MEP systems. - Ensure alignment of MEP works with overall project schedules and milestones. **2. Design Review & Technical Coordination** - Review and validate MEP drawings, BOQs, and specifications for constructability and cost efficiency. - Coordinate with MEP consultants, architects, and cross-functional teams (Electrical, HVAC, Civil) for integrated execution. - Resolve design and site-related technical issues proactively. **3. Contractor & Stakeholder Management** - Manage contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to scope, quality, and timelines. - Evaluate contractor performance and drive productivity improvements. - Coordinate with clients/tenants (if applicable) for design and execution requirements. **4. Quality Assurance & Compliance** - Ensure compliance with NBC, fire safety norms, local authority regulations, and environmental standards. - Implement QA/QC procedures, inspections, and checklists for all PHE & FF works. - Support statutory approvals and inspections (Fire NOC, authority clearances). **5. Testing & Commissioning** - Plan and oversee testing & commissioning of PHE and Fire Fighting systems. - Ensure systems are fully operational and compliant before handover. **6. Cost & Billing Control** - Review BOQs, track quantities, and control material consumption. - Verify contractor bills, rate analysis, and certifications. - Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. **7. Documentation & Reporting** - Monitor progress against project schedules and report deviations. - Maintain DPRs, inspection reports, method statements, and as-built drawings. **8. Safety & Risk Management** - Ensure strict adherence to EHS standards and safe work practices. - Identify risks in execution and implement mitigation strategies. **Key Skills & Competencies:** - Strong technical expertise in PHE & Fire Fighting systems - Good understanding of integrated MEP services - Knowledge of NBC, IS codes, and fire authority requirements - Strong leadership and team handling skills - Effective coordination and stakeholder management - Analytical and problem-solving ability - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (knowledge of BIM is an advantage) **Qualifications & Experience:** - B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering - 6–10 years of relevant experience in MEP (with focus on PHE & Fire Fighting) - Experience in commercial IT parks, high-rise, or large real estate projects preferred **Reporting To:** Project Manager / MEP Head **Working Conditions:** - Site-based leadership role - Requires coordination across multiple stakeholders and extended working hours as per project needs **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** - Achievement of project milestones (PHE & FF scope) - Quality compliance and reduction in rework - Successful statutory approvals and system commissioning - Cost control and budget adherence - Contractor performance and productivity - Safety compliance (zero major incidents) Share CV - deepika.baby@Kraheja.com
