The candidate will be responsible for data modeling, performance optimization, and delivering high-quality data solutions for analytics and business insights. - Role: Senior Engineering Lead - Location: All Persistent Location - Experience: 5 to 8 Years - Job Type: Full-Time Employment **What You'll Do** - Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for enterprise applications. - Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Informatica, SSIS, DataStage, or Azure Data Factory for structured and semi-structured data. - Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple legacy systems (mainframe, flat files, ERP/CRM systems) into modern data platforms. - Develop and optimize data models (OLTP/OLAP), ensuring efficient query performance and scalability. - Implement incremental data loads, CDC (Change Data Capture), and batch processing frameworks. - Work on legacy system modernization, migration, and integration into cloud or modern data platforms. - Design and implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality frameworks across pipelines. - Ensure data governance, audit logging, traceability, and compliance for enterprise data workflows. - Collaborate with reporting/BI teams to enable data availability for dashboards and analytics. - Optimize SQL performance using indexing, partitioning, query tuning, and execution plan analysis. - Prepare technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and integration design specifications. - Participate in architecture discussions, system upgrades, and performance tuning initiatives. **Expertise You'll Bring** - 5 to 8 years of experience in SQL development / Data Engineering / Data Warehousing roles. - Strong hands-on expertise in SQL (writing complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning). - Hands-on experience with dbt (models, macros, snapshots, tests, documentation). - Strong experience working on Snowflake cloud data platform (data loading, transformations, performance optimization). - Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schema). - Experience with ELT pipelines and modern data stack architecture. - Knowledge of incremental loading, CDC, and data versioning techniques. - Experience with data quality, validation frameworks, and testing methodologies in dbt. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS/GCP and data orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF preferred). - Good understanding of data governance, access control, and security practices in Snowflake. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Benefits** - Competitive salary and benefits package - Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies - Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards - Annual health check-ups - Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents **Values-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment** Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
