Job Summary We are seeking a passionate, creative and detail oriented Senior Executive– Social Media Marketing to lead the social media presence of Disney India and National Geographic India. The role will drive brand growth, audience engagement, content marketing and campaign amplification across Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn( Nat Geo only) and YouTube. The ideal candidate will combine strong storytelling capabilities, platform expertise and data-driven decision-making to build audience affinity, support content launches, strengthen fandoms and enhance brand visibility. Together, they bring a powerful mix of iconic kids’ franchises, family entertainment and world-class factual storytelling, creating meaningful connections with audiences through compelling content, strong fan communities and culturally relevant experiences Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with brand, content and marketing objectives. • Manage content calendars, ensuring alignment with programming priorities, campaigns, seasonal moments and business goals. • Create and execute engaging social-first content across static, video, reels, stories, and trend-led formats. • Drive franchise and character-led storytelling to build fandoms, cultural relevance, and audience engagement ( Disney) • Leverage platforms as a key marketing channel, amplifying social media for content launches, premieres, tentpole events, partnerships and integrated marketing campaigns. • Build and nurture online communities through audience interaction, creator collaborations, UGC and real-time trend participation. • Explore and recommend monetization opportunities across platforms, including creator collaborations, branded content initiatives, platform monetization programs and emerging revenue-generating features, in alignment with brand objectives • Monitor social media performance, generate actionable insights and optimize strategies to improve reach, engagement and audience growth. • Manage agency partners and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality execution. • Work closely with the sales team to fulfil client deliverables for advertiser funded projects Skills & Attributes for Success • Strong storytelling and content creation skills with a social-first mindset. • Deep understanding of Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and evolving digital platforms. • Strong knowledge of platform algorithms, audience behavior and content optimization. • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative, culturally relevant ideas. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Passion about children and family content, Disney characters, factual storytelling, wildlife, science, exploration and digital culture. • Experience with social media tools (e.g., Sprinklr), Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio and reporting platforms. • Achieve consistent audience growth across social platforms by increasing followers, engagement, reach and retention. Preferred Education & Experience Education • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Advertising, Business, or a related field. • Postgraduate qualifications in Marketing or Media Management is an advantage. Experience • 5–6 years of experience in Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing, Content Marketing, or related disciplines. • Experience in media, entertainment, streaming, lifestyle, youth, family, or content-led brands preferred. • Proven track record of delivering integrated social media campaigns that drive audience growth and engagement. • Experience managing agencies, creators, influencers, and cross-functional stakeholders. • Understanding of television, content marketing, influencer ecosystems, and franchise-led brand building is highly desirable.
