Job Description: The Senior GenAI Developer — OpenAI & Codex Specialist builds production-grade solutions using Azure OpenAI APIs, the Assistants API, Codex (GitHub Copilot Enterprise), and Whisper + GPT voice workflows. The role owns EXL’s OpenAI demo library across claims automation, compliance summarization, and developer-productivity use cases. Operating within the India AI Center of Excellence, the developer converts solution designs into reliable, measurable systems and rapidly prototypes new OpenAI capabilities for client pursuits. **Responsibilities: Responsibilities** - Build production-grade solutions using Azure OpenAI APIs, the Assistants API, and Codex (GitHub Copilot Enterprise). - Develop Whisper + GPT voice workflows and integrate them into enterprise applications. - Own and expand EXL’s OpenAI demo library across claims automation, compliance summarization, and developer-productivity use cases. - Implement RAG pipelines, prompt orchestration, tool/function calling, guardrails, and evaluation on the OpenAI/Azure stack. - Develop and deploy services and APIs on Azure with attention to reliability, security, cost, and latency. - Collaborate with the OpenAI Solutions Architect and delivery teams to turn designs into working systems. - Maintain technical documentation and reusable assets to accelerate delivery. **Must-Have Skills** - 5–7 years of engineering experience, with hands-on GenAI/LLM delivery. **OpenAI & Codex Engineering** - Strong hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI APIs and the Assistants API. - Experience with Codex / GitHub Copilot Enterprise for developer-productivity solutions. - Experience building Whisper + GPT voice workflows. - Practical experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and evaluation. **Core Engineering** - Strong Python engineering skills (production-grade coding, testing, packaging, API development). - Hands-on Azure deployment experience (containers, CI/CD, monitoring). - Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with architects and delivery teams. **Good-to-Have / Preferred** - Domain exposure to insurance/claims, compliance, or BFSI use cases. - Experience contributing demo libraries, accelerators, or reusable assets to a CoE. - Familiarity with agentic workflows and orchestration frameworks. - Relevant Azure or OpenAI certifications. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
